Meal plan asked when making PS'

Has anyone else noticed when calling in a PS that the CM asks if the meal will be paid by a meal plan? I suppose they are clarifying any misconceptions that may be out there.
I have always said No. So I don't know the spiel when a guests replies Yes.

Yup. For every ps that I made for first week in May, they asked that. I said yes, since we have the dining plan. All they say is "o.k." or "great."

they asked me too. when I called to book the spirit of aloha dinner show they asked, when I said yes she said, "ok!" then told me how much it would have been if I had not had the dinning plan. no big deal.

i guess they just want to take a poll of how many people are using the meal plan?

I've been asked that question for years....long before this meal plan started.


We use to always be on the gold plan and since we started buying APs we never are. There is no difference after you answer yes or no. I assume it is marked somehow for the restaurants. Maybe it is to alert the servers so it can be rung up correctly?

They like to note that you are on the plan when they take the PS - we just got back, and when we checked in, it was on our PS in the computer. It helps them let the server know you are on the plan. There is no spiel on the phone either way.
