I'd like to stop and get a quick early dinner/late lunch at the Main St. Bakery.

Do they have anything beyond pastries and fresh fruit? I seem to remember seeing something like a hot sandwich or a ham and cheese croissant maybe, something along those lines?

I'm totally capable of eating two chocolate croissants and a frozen latte for "lunch" LOL but I might feel better if there was some protein in it. :lmao:

Last year DH and I got cold sandwiches. Mozzarella and tomato for me, ham and cheese for DH. I really liked mine. :thumbsup2

I also can't remember for sure but, I do think they have some lunch and dinner sandwiches there. I know they have breakfast sandwich options so, I'm pretty sure they do. I, for one, could do just fine with a big piece of coffee cake from there!:wave2:

Main Street Bakery.
Cinammon Roll.
12 days.
Must concentrate.

When we were there, they had a number of cold sandwich options, one of which jumped out at me so quickly that I never even looked to see if there were hot options. Turkey, cranberry, and brie..... Mmmmmmmm! They're our *only* must-do counter service in all of WDW.

can someone tell me about the breakfast sandwiches? How late do they serve them?

I always see the huge line at this place in the early morning and walk right on by. It looks like it would take forever! I wish they had another similar place further into the park so it would spread the breakfast crowds out a bit.

If it makes you feel any better, as a nutrition major, I can tell you all you need is 10-15% of your calories from protein, so chances are you get that normally in the day. We often eat way more protein than we need. :thumbsup2 So I say enjoy your two chocolate croissants and frozen latte!

I'm not sure how late they serve breakfast sandwiches, but in regards to your other comment...the line always scared me off, too. Then, our last day of one of our trips, I thought, "If I have to wait an hour, I'm going to get a pastry from MSB!" The line was huge, but it moved so quickly that I was in and out of there within 10 minutes.
