We'll have a 1bdrm on our next trip. Would like to cook some meals in the room. We're flying in this time (and with carry-ons only). I was thinking I used to see people talk about ordering a Hello Fresh (or other meal delivery) box to the resort. Is that still a thing/ok to do? I know I wouldn't want it held up in transit around the WDW resort, like if it goes to some sort of holding/sorting facility for a day before going to resort.

I would plan on bringing some cooking oil and salt and pepper.

We've done simple meals in a 1 bedroom before but I am gluten free and have to keep it low lactose...so even something as simple as pancakes or spaghetti turns complicated.

This is why I was thinking of ordering a meal delivery box. Any experience with that? Did it work out ok for you? Any certain way I should have it addressed?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Have you tried them before ? My family weren’t fans. I wouldn’t unless you’ve tried them before and are fans .
I would look at grocery delivery , pre-made meals , Costco delivery ( we do bbq chicken and wraps and veggies ) ear for you Facebook page has lots of catering options
Good luck .

We have done Hello Fresh before and liked it good enough. I'm pretty picky about the meals I pick and make sure it's something we'll like. That part wouldn't be a problem. It's hard for me to do pre-made meals due to dietary restrictions.

My other thought was to get some meat to grill (steak, chicken, pork chop), something easy to grill with some baked potatoes and a bag salad (although even dressings are a challenge for me). AKL seems to have a nice grilling area.

I don't recall ever having read about someone having this type of delivery, to any DVC resort. Maybe I just didn't pay attention.

If something gets shipped USPS, then supposedly it does go to some sort of sorting facility before it goes to the resort. If it gets shipped FedEx/UPS, then supposedly it goes directly to the resort. T

You could have www.Instacart.com deliver groceries from www.Publix.com that you could cook (not prepared foods, since that is a problem for you). I'm thinking GF spaghetti and whatever you normally serve with it, or whatever you cook at home that you think is easy.

Are you okay with the cooking implements in the 1 bedroom? I can't remember if everything can go in the dishwasher. If it can go in the dishwasher, is that sufficient for you, if the previous guest cooked gluten items on it?
