Who has done the Meal Deal at Universal? Is it worth it?
What is the average cost for a family of 4 at a fast food place?
Can you get breakfast?

Hi.. we have done the Meal Deal twice..

I don't remember breakfast.. I think it is only lunch, afterlunch, second lunch , snacks, pre dinner, dinner etc..

My kids and Dh loved it..and it was definetely worth the money..

"The Meal Deal is available daily from 11 a.m. until 30 minutes prior to park closing, and is valid for one entree platter (described below) and one dessert (usually a cookie, mini-Bundt cake or Jell-O parfait, dependent on restaurant) per trip through the food service line."

We had fruit plates and salads and burgers and chinese and pasta and I must be forgetting things..The average meal is $10 per person and if you plan on eating lunch and dinner at the parks it pays for itself.. and the rest is dessert and extra snacks..

We bought the mug
"
Purchase a One Day Meal Deal Sipper Cup for an additional $8.99 plus tax which allow you unlimited soft drink fountain beverages at participating Meal Deal locations only in Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. The Sipper Cup can only be purchased when a Meal Deal is purchased. " and everyone shared the mug.. it also is refillable for subsequent days too.

It really depends upon how much the family of 4 eats cause for me we are also a family of 4 and my DS's won't eat enough to justify getting the meal deal and we found it cheaper just to buy a meal when they got hungry and you have to factor in that they will be wanting to play and do the rides more than they want to eat.

We are a family of 4, we purchased it on our last visit in Feb '07, it was not worth the money. To justify the cost you almost have to eat more than you really need to. We will not get it this coming Feb when we visit again.

I agree with you and we will be there in july and will not be getting the meal deal and to the op no breakfast is not included

"One entree per trip through the food service line." I noticed that some of the restaurants have salad as a main entree. Let's say that I want a slice of pizza AND a salad at Louies' Italian Restaurant. If I stand in line and order a Caesar salad meal and take it to my table, can I then immediately return to the line and get a slice of pizza?

Yes, you can.
