Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but are there any restaining devices for babies and toddlers on the motorcoaches? Is it okay to take infants on there?

No, none at all. The seats are the high back type rather than a bench type. There are no restraining devices on the buses within WDW either. If you hold the baby/child on your lap, it should be fine.

We just used ME with our 3 month old last week. I had no safety concerns whatsoever.

Nope! I held my daughter on my lap. It still amazes me that there aren't any seatbelts on buses. They will fine you to the hilt if you don't have them in your car though. It makes no sense. I believe in car seats but the inconsistancy makes no sense at all.

I did feel ok on the buses and shuttles though.

Ok, i give it until tomorrow until a "certain someone" pops in with MUCH to say about this issue. I wouldn't get too worked up over what they say.

I cannot wait to see who the "certain someone" is. I am totally clueless on this one.

Waiting patiently and popping the corn!!

Its never worth the stress on a trip. So if you are concerned, book a towncar service. Its very convenient and not very expensive. Eat an extra counter service meal to comp the cost. Make ressies for both and see how you feel about it when the calcellation deadline comes up. But do what you need to do to feel safe and at peace about going. Traveling with small kids is tough enough without second guessing how you are doing it.

While I would normally agree with this, you have to take into consideration that once the OP gets to WDW, they are going to be traveling on the WDW buses, with no restraints. So, if she is concerned about it, then perhaps a car rental is going to be the best solution. In no way am I saying that she has no reason for concern..we all have to do what we feel is best for our families. Doesn't matter what those on these boards say. If you aren't comfy about your travel choices then rethink them and make some that you can be happy with. No sense adding stress to the start of your vacation.
