ME questions about flight changes

Hello Disney experts. We are not new to WDW, but we will be using ME for the first time this October. We are staying at BCV by renting DVC points. The DVC member that we rented points from has already reserved our ME (I know that he has to do it, we can't call). Since then our flight numbers and times have changed a little. I have talked to the DVC member and we both agreed that we should wait a while to notify ME of these changes because chances are our flights may get changed again between now and October. My question is, how far in advance should our ME packet arrive before our trip? If we are traveling on Oct. 24th, when is the lastest I should have our DVC member notify ME of the changes? If I could call myself, I'd call now and then call again later with any new changes. But I can't call and don't want to hassle our DVC member about it more than we have to. :confused3

DME packets are sent out about 6 weeks prior to check-in. If you booked through a TA, it will go to them instead on your behalf.

as far as changes to your incoming flight goes, they're not as important. DME will take care of you when you arrive. it's your outgoing flight you want to make sure they're on top of as it will affect your scheduled pickup time.

Thanks bradk,
I should have just PM'd you directly because... of course you would know the answer to any and all of my WDW questions!! :rotfl: Have a good one!

The airlines can drive you crazy sometimes. The rest of my family is at WDW now - I could not get off due to pressing work issues :sad1: - and I dropped them off at the airport on Monday at 8:00 a.m. for a 11:15 a.m. flight on my way to work. They were bumped off the flight because of a change in equipment, and the new plane had 10 fewer rows. They were unable to get on another flight until 3:50, but happily, they were upgraded to first class. :thumbsup2 They did not get into MCO until close to 7:00 p.m. I called DVC member services and made sure they knew and the rep was grateful for the update, although I do believe that if I had not called them, it would not have been a problem. I agree that the outgoing flight info is more critical.
