I was wondering if someone could tell me what is the latest time we could take ME from our hotel? We plan on checking out of BC on a Monday morning (labor day) and will have concierge hold our luggage. We will spend the full day at the hotel/epcot and then take ME to MCO at night. We will probably stay at the Hyatt in the airport and fly out Tuesday morning/afternoon. I just want to get a full day on Monday. Does anyone know the last trip from ME to MCO? Thanks for your help.

It goes 24 hours. I'll let others tell you how to pick a time; my brain gets super-confused with that when going back to the airport without an actual flight, LOL.

There are several ways to get yourself back to MCO via DME when not flying that day. Lets say you want to head to MCO at 10pm...

1. You could find a flight (domestic) that departs around 1am. That's going to be hard to do, but you may find something. It doesn't matter where it's going,or what the airline is. Fr a flight departing at 1am, DME would pick you up between 9:45-10:15, depending on the resort.
Or...

2. You could just call DME directly and explain what you want to do. They should be able to get ou on a bus right around the time you want to leave. You could get someone who tells ou that you 'have! To have a flight booked in order to use DME, but that's not true. Hang up and call back....hopefully you'll get a different person!

DME doesn't really run 24 hours. It runs as late (and as early) as needed to acomodate guests flying in and out of MCO. You can go to the airports website, sort departing flights by time and supply a "dummy" flight. Posters who explained what they want, the latest possible pick up time, got later times. My theory,, DME needs to get buses to MCO for arriving guests later then whats required for departing guests.

Question of semantics. DME is available 24/7. No, it doesn't just automatically run to each resort. But it does run to a resort that has a guest that needs to get back to MCO. So, for all intents and purposes, it 'runs' 24 hrs.

I didn't know that. A guest has a late night planned, is staying at the Hyatt and wants to get back to MCO around midnight, maybe a little later. I didn't know DME has a posted policy of accomodating those guests.

The last international flight is scheduled to leave MCO around 11:30. That suggests those guests need to be picked up at around 7:30a. Flights start up around 6a, suggesting a 3a pickup.

That leaves about an 8 hour window during which DME doesn't need to transport guest to MCO in order to catch their flights.

Good to know DME, a 24 hour operation, will transport guests during that window. Otherwise it's not semantics.

Posters who've called have been given pickup times which were later then was necessary to transport guests to MCO in order to catch a flight but by about midnight all the scheduled flights have arrived and sometime before that DME has all the buses in MCO they need to transport late guests.

edited to add: I'll agree it's "semantics" if the OP was taking DME from a resort to MCO a few hours before their flight. The hours of DME are adjusted, as necessary, to accommodate changes in flight schedules. The distinction is real if a person is looking for transportation to/from MCO at a time in which bus service isn't required for passengers with flights.
