ME Question...Yup, Another one....

OK, I don't want to start any arguments and I certainly don't want to fan any flames....

I want to know if my plan is on the up and up...

I want to use ME to get myself and DD's (2 and 4) to POP. I plan on getting our carryon bag(s) and bringing them on the bus with us so we have our immediate supplies with us. DH will have the job of getting the car seats and stroller and putting them in the rental car and meeting us at the resort. Am I in violation of any policies by having ME transport ALL of our remaining luggage? Should DH be responsible for getting his own luggage since he isn't actually using the bus or is his luggage just going to be all lumped with ours anyways? It's not like he has his own suitcase. I don't know how I would distinguish what is "his" from what is "mine" and what is "ours". Is there a limit on how many bags each person is allowed? I think between the 4 of us, we'll have 2 suitcases and one large rolling duffel bag. I guess I would assume that as long as I have tags for everything, I should be OK, right?

We did this with no problem at all. The three girls took ME , ME took all the bags and DsF and I went and got the Rental.This was June of 06.

They give you 2 tags for each of you so you should be fine.

You're plan is totally cool with Disney.

The first time this sort of question popped up on the DIS, I called DME a few times over a few days (different days/shifts, etc.) to ask about this. The 100% consistent answer is that as long as a minimum of one person from each reservation rides the DME bus, then DME will transport ALL of the luggage associated with that reservation number ... everyone else on that reservation can leave the airport however they wish.

I too will be having DH pick up the rental while the kids and I take the ME and have the luggage forwarded to the resort. We will not be using the luggage tags that have his name. We will be using the tags that have my name and the girls' names so they will not being looking for him or his bags. I think the limit is two bags per person (the same as the airline limit). This will allow us to get a smaller rental, since the luggage will not be an issue.
