ME Question/car rental

We may end up renting a car directly from the airport for the length of our stay and returning back to the airport. If we do this, how do I notify ME that I will not need them? Are there any penalities for not using ME?
Also, what about checking out - they usually provide you with your departure time for the bus - do I just notify the hotel?

Yes, drop by your resort desk and tell them you won't be using DME for the return.

It's really not necessary to cancel your arrival at all.

The return does need to be cancelled because if you are the only party leaving your resort at that exact time, then they could avoid that stop.
