Watching this new show on the Food Network…what a disaster for these couples!! One couple-the gal seems to contribute most of her money and her fiancé is starting the restaurant, postponing any wedding or alone time trips and adding more ideas that of course require more money. Another couple-they have a food truck, the gal wants to open a restaurant, but, wow, she treats and talks to him like his mother! She even mentioned her starting a restaurant is more important than getting married.
I doubt any of these couples last long together🥴

I binge watched the first three episodes yesterday. I had no interest in this show, but I discovered that the food truck couple is from Lombard, IL, which is near where I grew up and some of my family still live. Even accounting for editing, I agree, that woman seems very.... intense! It's fun to see the background shots of places I recognize.

I do find the other couple you mentioned interesting. He genuinely seems to understand everything she has done for him/the restaurant, and that she deserves to spend more time on her own career and interests. But at the same time, he doesn't hesitate to keep asking more of her (time, financial investment, free labor) to support his dreams.

I've set my DVR to record new episodes. I guess I'm hooked. :)

I liked the Food Network back when skilled chefs would cook things in their kitchen and demonstrate techniques so viewers could also make those dishes. All of their new 'game/reality' shows are just annoying to watch. Racing around to cook obscure ingredients or the staged drama among contestants doesn't appeal to me or where they try to do a makeover on some failing restaurant. Seems like they feel the need to keep coming up with new shows and have forgotten why most people liked to watch. It is like they want to keep all of these 'stars' on their payroll so they have to keep inventing new ideas for shows.

How many different shows does Guy F. now have? Newest one I saw he got Food Network to basically pay for a camping/food vacation for his family and several close friends complete with catered food service. Made NO sense to me.

:( Shucks...it doesn't look like this one is being shown on Food Network Canada. Our content is a little different from yours. Too bad - I've got time for a bit of a binge this weekend and I like shows like that.

Watched the first 2 episodes and then gave up. Not the kind of show I expect to see on the Food Network
