ME - one packet or two?

I thought for our trip in December that we received 2 ME packets - one for the trip there and one for the return trip - with separate luggage tags to put on our bags. For our upcoming trip, however, we've only received one packet with one set of ME tags. Am I missing the second packet or have they changed the way they do things?

Nope, there's always been only one packet. You don't need luggage tags for the return.

For the return, you either check your bags at the resort airline desk and get your boarding passes, where they will tag them for you, or if you can't use the resort airline desk (nonparticipating airline), then you take the bags with you on the ME bus back to the airport.

You only need transportation vouchers for the arrival because, your resort will hang a confirmation on your door the day before you leave with your departure time. This confirmation will be your voucher for your return trip on the bus.

There's no such thing as luggage tags for the return home.

You need luggage tags for the way there, because when your checked, tagged luggage is unloaded from the airplane at MCO, the responsible people know to "pull" each DME-tagged bag and put it into the DME luggage system

On the way home, you do one of two things, check your luggage with Resort Airline Check-In (if you are flying a "participating" airline) or bring it to the bus yourself and get it right back as soon as the bus arrives at MCO. If you're using RAC, the person there tags each bag with the actual official airline/TSA tag, the white tag that has the 3-letter airport code on it. This can only be done at the time you check your luggage, so there would be no benefit to your having any sort of DME tag at that point. If you're taking your luggage to your DME bus, there's no need for DME tags because DME will not be handling and delivering your luggage -- you hand it to the driver, the driver stores it under the bus, when you arrive at MCo the driver unloads the luggage and you take it and bring it to your airline's ticket counter.

At one time DME only put 4 passengers information in one envelope. More than 4 guests got two packages.

It looks like your last trip was a split stay. It's possible a CM made a mistake and set up a DME reservation for both reservations.

Did you do a split stay on your last trip?

We did a split stay on our last trip and we got a packet from All Star Sports and one from SSR. There were tags and vouchers in both. We needed the tags and vouchers for Sports (our first resort) and just the vouchers for SSR. They also verified at the DME counter that we had a return reservation since it wasn't on our Sports information.

Yes, we did do a split stay AS Sports and BWV. So maybe that's why I remember 2 packets. Wow, I have really short-term memory these days! So, I guess I have everything I need. Thanks for the replies.
