ME from airport to ASMu, checkin, get into room and then head over DTD-How much time?

Quick info:

We are suppose to land at MCO at 7 pm via Jet Blue. We are using Disney's ME and are staying at ASMu. Knowing that we will be there late, we still want to go to DTD and eat at Fulton's (it's a tradition to eat there first thing).

Being that you have to have an ADR (if you want to make sure you can get in), I went ahead and made a reservation for 9:30 pm.

Do you all think that we will have enough time to get from the airport to ASMu, check in, unload our stuff and then catch the bus to DTD? Will 2 1/5 hours be enough time? :scratchin

We have always driven to WDW in the past and were able to schedule our own arrival time. This will be a first flying Jet Blue and using ME.

Any input/advice is greatly appreciated! :listen:

Thanks so much!

I would never make an ADR on my arrival day. You never know if there will be a flight delay.

You might make it if all goes as planned.

True. Maybe we can just hope for a table if we get there somewhat early enough. We can't change our flight because they only offer one flight to MCO per day. Oh we'll, we can try. :-)

In a pinch you coud:
1. Leave the carryons with Bell Services and not go to your room right away.
2. Take a taxi instead of the bus from the resort to Downtown Disney.

Things that can delay you include waiting at the resort registration desk and waiting for buses.

It's possible for you to make it. Assuming everything happens as it should. You should be at your resort by 8:30pm (maybe a little earlier). Get checked in, and be prepared to not go to your room (leave bags with Bell Services as Seashore suggested). Go right out to the busses and go to DTD. You should get there by 9:15-9:30.

This is assuming 1) the plane lands on time 2) there's no significant delays with ME/traffic (I doubt, but it's possible) 3) there's no significant delays at check in and 4) there's no significant delays with the Disney bus.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about not going to the room and leaving our stuff with a Bellman. Great idea! :-)

LOL! You are right - there are so many things that could get in the way. I think that we will just wing it and see if we can get in, no matter what time we arrive. Thanks for the great insight! :-)
