We are part of a grand gathering. We will be staying at POR and arriving on 8/26 at POR. We have my 10yo niece staying with us on our reservation. Other members of our family are staying at POP arriving on 8/26 and leaving on 9/1. My niece has to be home before we leave on 94. Here is my problem, I need my niece to go home with our relatives leaving from POP on 9/1. Can we take her over there to ride the ME with them? Otherwise any suggestions on how to handle this situation?

Here's the only way I think you'll be able to do it.

Your relatives staying at Pop ... are there any of them who do NOT have a room at full capacity (4 guests per room)? If there are, then put your niece on their reservation for the last night. That way, she will be a guest at Pop on the day she needs to leave, and thus will be eligible to take the DME bus with your relatives back to the airport.

If this can't be done, then I suggest calling DME directly (866-599-0951) and ask them if it's possible to make an exception for her since she's a minor. Don't bother calling the main Disney number -- most of the DRC CMs don't know much about even the "normal" DME procedures, let alone complicated situations like yours.

I would second that suggestion. I would think that DME would make some kind of accomodation for a 10 y/o so that she didn't have to travel by herself. After all, every person staying in a WDW resort, listed on the reservation, is entitled to a ride to and from the airport.

Yes: we have members at POP leaving that day that have an extra person able to be added to the reservation. The problem with this is the reservations are not room only but pkgs. So how do we add her to pkg. resie? I don't think we can unless we add another ticket. Anyway, I will call the dme number directly tomorow to see what they suggest. I do know they do not alow a minor to travel dme without an adult.

They should be able to add her once they're checked in, or any time after that.

Do you mean that even though they are a pkg that is pre paid, we could add one more guest only for one night after they check in? As long as they do not have a full room correct?

Let's see if I'm understanding this right....your dn is arriving with you on 8/26. The other part of your group is also arriving on 8:26. But dn has to leave on the same day the other group leaves. Right?
If there is room for your dn, I would move her reservation over to the POP groups reservation for the final night of her stay. So, WDW would think she was at POP for 8/24-8/31. She checks out of POR on 8/31 and 'moves' to POP for that last night, so to speak. She would just have to be added for that last night...wonder if that would be doable. Then, she can arrive with you and leave with the early departers.
Or, perhaps DME will take pity on her and just give her a voucher for departure from POP rather than POR!!
