I just have to :rotfl: about our travel from WL to MCO last Oct 2 - It was a day to remember!!

I havent posted a trip report... Can you believe this happened to us??? We were "hijacked" by a NEW ME driver!! SERIOUSLY - - we boarded our ME bus at the WL at 3:30pm, and didnt get to the airport until 5:30!! THAT woman drove us ALL over, even on a dead end road, and had to back up!!! IT WAS RIDICULOUS!! A few of us called the ME number listed, but they did nothing but confirm that she had her radio OFF!! Please when boarding your ME bus, look for the NUMBER of the bus... they ask that - I only could tell them the name of the driver... I did write down some of the names of the roads she traveled - mostly I remeber Oscala Drive (some of it 2 lane) the dead end road was still on Disney Property... Boggey Creek road, or Orange Blossem... it took 20 minutes to go 8 miles... one passenger realized she had GPS on her cell phone - just really weird experience...

btw we blamed the ME supervisors that felt she was qualified to drive alone - and why dont they have a simple map with simple directions on the bus??? I mean, how hard can THAT be??? SHE didnt lose her cool, she remained calm, cool, and collected...

but it was horrifying!!

Then at the airport we found our flight was delayed. IT took off an hour late, but in the air, we circled for an hour or so, due to bad weather in Chicago... we had to land in KY and waited a few hours, then took off, then landed at Ohare and had to wait (at 3 or 4 AM not enough personell to handle incoming flights... it was an ORDEAL)

and dd had to use airsick bags (we believe it was a combination of "stuff") at one point it reminded me of WCC - we needed more airsick bags (the airline crew of Ted was of little use - they were also exhausted, or spent - "we dont handle vomit - its your deal" they ran out of water... and garbage bags...but again, it was an extreme circumstance - no blame, just what happened to us!)

I guess you can never be too prepared. Next time I will keep a change of clothes - and more handi wipes!! Thanks to the people around us that gave us their shopping bags... and handiwipes...

Wish we could carry water on board tho...

WOW you had an ordeal getting home!!!! Oh my gosh! You probably could have gotten home faster if you drove!

hey sounds like the bus driver I had - but she was a Disney one. She left OKW before she made all the stops - instead of turning around at the Treehouse - she went to SSR - and then instead of going in a bus stop to turn around - she picked a back road.

Maybe she went with ME....

glad everyone got home and is safe.

so sorry about your kids getting sick on the plane.

Had a similar experience in May getting from MCO to POFQ . . . a new dirver wandered all over WDW before getting to the resorts. Next time (if there is one) I will find out what other resorts are on the bus so I'll know early on if the driver is going wrong. Ours was not as long a delay as you experienced plus we were able to complain right at the check in desk.

Yikes! What an ME experience! Maybe it was just me, but it seemed like we encountered a lot of "less experienced" bus drivers on this trip. Our ME driver going back to the airport seemed more interested in eating her lunch than driving safely.

We returned on the same night as you and also flew into O'Hare. We were originally scheduled to get in around 6pm. Our flight took off late, but we actually made it to O'Hare by around 7:30pm. Not too bad...so I thought. We had to wait 4 hours for our stroller (which was gate checked) and our checked bags. The lightening was horrific and the ground crew couldn't be outside due to FAA regulations. I think that we were very lucky to be able to get off of our plane. Like I said, the ground crew was gone before we could even get our stroller and my DH (who was waiting for the stroller) said that there were a couple of planes in the gates next to ours that just had to sit there because there was no ground crew to guide them in! Crazy night!!!
