ME and school group arriving separately

So my oldest son is going to Disney on a school trip. The rest of us will be going to Disney at the same time.
We are planning to fly in to MCO and taking ME as a family. My question is...
Since he will be on the school reservation, how will the room reservation work?
Does it matter that the room occupants arrive separately?
Anything else I'm not thinking of that I need to work about?
He can easily hang out with us until his classmates arrive.
He can not fly with the group as we will not have a way to get him to the airport.

He can go with you on ME. I'm guessing his name isnt on the reservation itself, probably under the school or adults name, but doesnt Disney usually want the name of all occupants in a room? But he should be provided luggage tags so he'll know the reservation number and can check into ME.

If the group isn't staying at the same resort as you and he's not on your reservation, he most likely will not be able to board your bus.

The only way this will work is if your able to add him to your resort reservation. Easy to do if you’re not over occupancy and don’t have a package. Otherwise just book alternate transportation or Uber/Lyft when you get there.

Alternately if you can find out his reservation number you may be able to reserve me for him using that #.
There is no requirement that everyone (anyone) use DME but you have to reserve using the restore reservation #.
