MDE FP+ and more than one set of tickets

I have set up MDE, linked our 10 day park hopper no expiration tickets and made our FP+ selections for our upcoming Christmas trip. Our 10 day tickets typically last us 3-4 annual trips. However we are also considering purchasing 10 day no expiration tickets that are not park hoppers and using those on days where we know that will not be park hopping. Does anyone know how this would work with MDE? Am I correct in assuming that as long as we have one set of tickets linked to MDE that we can make our FP+ selections and then just use the other tickets to enter the parks? If I link both sets of tickets, how do I indicate which specific tickets to use on any given day?

I kind of doubt you can do that since to make the FP+ ressies, you have to have your specific ticket linked to your MB.
