MDE Does It To Me Again .......... and I was not even using it No SWGE Preview For Me

As I am a Platinum Passholder, I awaited with beacon breath the anticipation of my invitation to the preview of SWGE.

As the event sold out and my email never came, I called Passholder Services to understand why I never received the email (I was not aware of the direct link).

To my surprise the reason was I had never given Disney authorization to contact me. I found that very strange because as many I get emails daily asking me to buy this and that.

That aside, around four months ago when I called the Internet Help desk (I was calling so often with issues I was on a first name basis with some CM) they waved the white flag and said they needed to create a new MDE account for me because I had too many INDICATORS (whatever that is). They would take a mirror issue of the current MDE so I would not loose ADR, FP+, etc. This was done and MDE has worked much better for me for the last several months.

One problem, my new MDE has never prompted me to opt in for communications from Disney and obviously this was not an issue with my old MDE.

Please use my misfortune as advice if a new MDE is created for you.

Moderator, please move out of the SWGE section. Even though the pain was over the SWGE preview, my point is regarding MDE.
