MCO to Hotel Royal Pacific at Univ. Transportation options

My son (23) will be meeting us at Universal, he will be landing at MCO at 2pm. What's the best way for him to get to Hotel Royal Pacific? Cab, Mears? I know Mears is $20, any idea for how much a cab would be? With Mears, it will be on their van which I understand can make many stops. Just wondering what is quickest, while most cost efficient way. Thanks!
