MCO Car Rental Luggage Advice

We are going to Disney from May 1-7 and I had a couple of questions as this will be our first trip with our daughter. We will be renting a car for the first time (I believe from Hertz) and from some things I read the line at Hertz can be pretty long. My husband suggested maybe my daughter and I take the magical express while he rents the car and drives it over. There would be a lot of luggage for him though as I won't be able to carry much with the stroller. Where do you get those little trolley carts and can you bring them inside the car rental place just until you pick up the car?

Also in general how busy can we expect the airport to be in May. I know as numbers go down I'm expecting more people to be traveling and we will be landing around 2. Is it chaotic around that time? Also I've heard MCO not a lot of people are following the social distancing guidelines and security doesn't really enforce it. Would you say this is true based on your experience? Just want an idea of what to expect.

Thanks!

I would have your husband join Hertz's Gold Plus:

It's basically their version of a frequent flyer program. You can enter all your details such as drivers license and payment info before hand and then when you arrive in MCO, there should be a board in the garage that shows which car is yours. Then you just walk to the car and drive off....no need to stand in line.

When you belong to a car rentals program, you usually don't have to stand in line. You go straight to your car. We have used Enterprise in the past and that it how it was. Very convenient, very easy. this is just a guess but I'd say that MCO will be crowded and/or starting to get crowded. More people heading to the airports, Spring Break right at that time. Look at what is already happening in FL with Spring Breakers.
