Our McDonalds are now giving paper straws. They are absolutely AWFUL!!! Changes the taste of the coke.

In our neck of the woods, the McD's straws are still plastic. I hate paper straws.

I haven't heard of many businesses going to paper straws unless there was a government mandate. Shake Shack has done to all compostable straws, but they're not paper. I think it's some sort of starch materials that feels like plastic and have no taste.
