McDonald's $1 lattes and mochas and hot chocolates?

I saw a commercial on TV for this yesterday but haven't actually seen anything online about it.

Anyone know if it is nationwide and how long the deal is on for?

My oldest works at McDonalds and worked yesterday but not today...he said he's not heard anything about it. They do have a good deal on BF though Not sure if that's the same at every McDonalds but ours is .50 cent sausage biscuits and .25 coffee....YUMMY. Gotta drop him off before breakfast ends so I'm going to shell out a whopping 3.00 to feed everyone Friday morning LOL. Gives me a rest after all that cooking on Thursday.

I am the only one who likes sausage biscuits or coffee......the rest of them will want hot cakes and OJ.....so I think I will stay away from McDonald's for BF!

We have had free coffee locally at McDonalds since November 14th and will go through November 27th. You don't have to buy anything, just go in and get your free coffee.

Thanks. I really wanted the specialty coffees. I am not sure ours is offering that. I will have to find out. Sounds like it could be regional if the other McDonalds' is .25 coffees on BF.

The Mcdonalds by my house had a sign up at the drive through that said on Black Friday that they would have a free cup of coffee available from 4:40am - 6:30 am DH thought that time was funny. I said that there was really no point of them giving it out earlier as everyone would be out at the stores

Here in CT I think it is only on the small size. Regular coffees are still $1 any size.

Well, on Monday Dec. 5th, 2011, I saw at several different times a McDonald's commercial that described their new peppermint hot chocolate as well as their regular for $1. My husband saw the exact commercial and on the way to work decided to pull into a McDonald's a get one they said "No, that promotion doesn't exist."

Here at home I promised the kids if they got ready for school without any arguments, etc... that get them each a hot chocolate. When I got there they said "We don't have that promotion" and I said "Well, I just saw the commercial for it" and she came back and said "My Manager said we are not running that promotion."

So with two crying kids I headed over to Panera where a hot chocolate is $2.19, a mocha hot chocolate is $3.69 and a peppermint one is $3.29. I bought my daughter the peppermint one and my son the regular (that's what they wanted). I guess McDonald's missed out on my money. Besides that it seems like false advertising. Just add to to the reasons for me not wanting to go there anymore.

No comment on the $1 mocha/hot chocolate deal, but I ordered a decaf peppermint mocha a couple weeks ago when we were having breakfast. I always order decaf because caffeine does not go well with my anxiety disorder... plus I'm not pregnant so I'm avoiding it for that reason as well.

When I got my peppermint mocha, it had a label on it stating the order but it didn't say decaf so I had DH take it back and get it remade. He comes back and says that the manager told him the don't have decaf.

I have always, always, ALWAYS ordered decaf mochas from McDonald's. I order decaf EVERYWHERE. I've probably gotten a decaf mocha from there 20 times in the past couple of years. Since when do you not have decaf? So either a) the manager was full of it, or b) they've been giving me caffeinated coffee every time I ordered for the past 2 years without telling me.

Nope they don't have Decaf. I found out the hard way. I am highly sensative to caffine. I worked at Starbucks for about 4 years. There they have a machine that has a funnel for both Decaf and regular beans. At Mickey D's there is only one grinder and funnel for regular caffinated beans. I ordered a pepermint mocha the other day and instantly knew I had had caffine.

They have decaf coffee but not decaf espresso. The fancy drinks are made w/ espresso, not regular old coffee.

The only coffee-type beverage I drink is mocha & I tend to refer to it as coffee, when it's not. The mocha was what I was actually referring to when I said coffee -- sorry!

The 'coffee' part of the Mocha is made with expresso. And FYI, the chcolate syrup isn't caffeine free, either.
