MB newbie question

This is our first time to disney since I was 4 years old and I'm completely amazed at all the planning that goes into trips now! Any and all advice is welcome, here is my question for now; we are going with a group of 11, 3 rooms at all star music ages are: room 1: 2 adults, 4, 2. Room 2:2 adults, 12, 11 yeast old boys. Room 3: 2 adults, 5year old. How would you pick colors for the Magic bands??? One color per room/family
Or kids One color or pArents one, kids another and under 5 another? We have the meal plan. I have heard that at quick service like at the resort you can get an adult meal even if you have a kids band bc they aren't counted as kid/adult but rather just quick meal? Thanks in advance!

I would just have everyone get what ever color they like. When you customize them you submit a name which is printed on each band.

As smbowtie has said; just have everyone pick their favourite colours, and everyone's names will be printed on the inside of the bands to help keep them organized.

It's a nice touch being able to wear a colour you like, as opposed to the grey band that you'd be given if you didn't personalize.
