Ok this time I will do it. I'll start Sunday though. I need to lose around 40 lbs (if not more)..that's sad to me..I'm 23 5'2 and I need to lose that much weight. I know there are people probably my age and heaiver but for me.. I am sad about it... I need to cut back on the carbs/sugars.. I drink water almost all day but I need to add more.. and i'm going to start walking again. I want (NEED) to be skinny for WDW in November. I want to actually like looking at hte pics I know we'll take!!


goals: find something healthy I can eat for breakfast on the run
cut back on my carbs (<-will be REALLY hard!!!)
start walking again...
 
Ok. just 2 more days until I start my new healthy eating and exercise plan! I've been reading people's journals and I hope to be constantly inspired by you guys! I think I'm going to make smoothies for breakfast. I'm going to try that out!

Wish me luck guys! I hope I have enough faith in myself to stick to this. I have to get this weight off of me! I'm having too many problems related to this weight to just keep it on me....

You can do this! It is very, very helpful to read the other journals for some really great info and lots and lots of inspiration too!

I have found that making my mainstay breakfast the night before and bringing it to work each morning has worked like a charm for me. I do a portion control plan, so my breakfast is Whole Wheat Total cereal with craisens and walnuts (or almonds) and skim milk. I put my cereal mixture together the night before in a tupperware or gladware and my milk in a lunchbox thermos in the fridge the night before and then in the morning I just throw it in my insulated lunchbox with a freezer block and it is good to go. Plus a piece of fruit for my mid-morning snack too. Maybe this will work for you too? Maybe not...

Tomorrow is the big day and you'll do great! Make a plan and write it down, post it where you can see it. It does help...

First of all thank you for all the kind words of encouragement!!!

I slept in a little later than what I probably should have but I guess that's what happens when DH doesnt get home until 6:30 am.. I want to stay asleep w/him as long as I can...
So I had breakfast at 1:30 :rolleyes1 .. cereal

I am going to stick with my eating every 2-3 hours though ..

I planned all the dinners for this week so no temptation of wanting to order something in or go out or fast food!!
This week is going to be a little crazy. We are having a grad party for my DH this saturday and it's at my mom's who lives 1 1/2 hrs away. And I'm planning everything and basically cooking everything so I'll be making my lists and checking it twice!!

For breakfast this week I"m going to try and do smoothies. I got frozen fruit, OJ and vanilla flavored yogart.. I have a cup that you put on the blender so it's kind of a make and take thing so I hope I cna get my butt out of bed a littlle earlier to make that!

Later on today whenever DH wakes up I think we're going to take a walk around the apts..plus I'm going to be cleaning around the house so that will burn a few calories...

I weighed myself this morning so here is my starting weight:

178.6....about 40 lbs to go..that seems like a big amount to me.. 40 lbs.. that's 4 year old LOL....

Well I think I did ok today. I drunk around 72 oz of water. This is all I had to eat today:

Cereal (Fruit Harvest-the banana/mixed berry..I added a whole banana to it as well)
Carrots w/ 2 TBsp of Ranch dressing
No Fat Vanilla pudding with blackberries
Pot Roast w/ Carrots and Potato
TCBY White Choc Mouse
A couple of banana chips

I'm really wanting to eat something really bad right now b/c I'm stressing out bout the grad party.. We found out today that 2 of his best friends cant come. One actually has a legit excuse..they are moving in a month so we understand that one.. The other one said they dont have "money" for the trip..the only thing they would have to pay for is gas...it just irritates me b/c this guy has known about the party for MONTHS.. it just seems like his wife doesnt want him around us (which,,truth be known...I can barely stand the wife).. so DH is a little upset/mad about that. :guilty: .. I'm going to try and not let it bother us and ruin the good time we are going to have this coming weekend.

But on a different note I think to motivate me to walk I'm going to do the "walking to disney" challenge.. I mapquested it and CSR is 649.02 miles away.. I would have to average around 3.8 miles/day to get it all in.. We'll see how that goes!!!

Well I think I'm going to go and brush my teeth for bed... You never want to eat anything after just brushing your teeth!!!

lol Thanks Tiger.. I appreciate that... This morning has been good so far.. I had my smoothie and then for my snack was cheese.. I brought my lunch..leftover from last night but we're having 2 different people bring us food today so I'm going to check their selection out first... I think it's sandwhiches from one.. The other I have no idea... Dinner tonight is chicken or stir fry so I already ahve that planned...

I'm going to try and walk when I get home.. just put my sneakers on and go... WISH me luck on that!! Someone hold me accountable for that!!

Well I didnt get that walk in b/c it was storming most of the night.. so DH wanted to go see a movie, Batman Begins..so we did.. My dinner was Nachos.. Not the healthiest but I'm being honest.. For breakfast I woke up late so I got here and grabbed some cocoa puffs in the hospital cafe and ate some with skim milk. I also got a white chocolate mochoa.. I started my period today (after about 3 months of nothing) so I had to get something to help with the cramps.... I'm going to try and do better for lunch...I feel like crap today... Tonight I'm going to the movies again. I"m seeing Phantom of the Opera ..I've already seen it but not on a big screen. We have a movie theater opening Friday and they are showing movies for a dollar through tomorrow... Maybe later on I'll feel better....
 
Try egg whites for anytime of day.

They are a great source of protein (so they will fill you) and they have not carbs.

I make a white omelet for myself every morning. I call it the three peppers (Black pepper, Red pepper and one very small slice of jalopena peppers.

You can add low salt ham, mushrooms, onions, scallions, salsa - all these things are no carbs and no points (weight watchers). It should fill you until your next meal/snack.

Also try egg white for dinner - add steak, chicken or cheese to it.

It's a great way for me to start or finish my day.
 
i'll have to try the egg white thing but maybe for dinner. I so dont get up early enough to make eggs... I barely have time to throw somehting into a blender and run out the door w/it!! but I may have to try and omelet or something for dinner.... thanks for the suggestion
 
thanks toystory- I'm feeling a little bit better but I just finished a mountain dew so I think I overloaded on sugar/caffine cuz I'm feeling a little off... I think I just want this day to end... I'm trying to decide if I want to go to the movie or not.. Another thing making me have a "blah" day is that I ran out of contacts so I'm wearing glasses which makes me not feel as good. I'm hopefully going to get some more tonight after wokr.... More later
 
Ok well here's what I had to eat today:

B-Cocoa Puffs w/ Skim Milk and a iced white chocolate mocha (which I didnt even finish.. that should've told me that I was having a bad day)
L-Salad and Vegie Soup; water to drink
S-if you can call it a snack.. didnt really eat anything but had a mountain dew
D-Stir Fry

Not too bad I guess. I could've had something really bad considering this is the first day on my period but I think I did pretty good.. I didnt really get a lot of water in but I'll work on that. Exercise was a no go as well. Maybe if I can get my eating right down then I'll be ready to work out.

I was thinking of doing South Beach but I'm not sure. I know I need to cut back on my sugars.. There's a small chance that I may have PCOS and I know that 's insulin related (even though my glucose test came back fine). I can tell a difference when I have a lot of carbs to eat...

Tomorrow is another day. I have to get up EARLY for a meeting at 7.. I"m going to make a smoothie to bring w/ me. I dont knwo what kind of food they are going to have there but I will make a smart decision.

I have to order a cake for DH tomorrow as well. His grad party is Saturday. I cant believe it's already here!!

I almost forgot.. I think I'm going to plan to bring my sneakers w/me to work or at least keep in my car so when I get home I can just change into those and not go inside yet... B/C once I'm inside it's hard for me to get back outside!!
 
Hang in there May! You're doing fine. You CAN do this! Just try to change 1 thing at a time and get control of it and take ONE day at a time.

Batman was awesome. My DH LOVED it.. I think we're going to see it this weekend. lol.. he wanted to turn around and go see it again!


I'm trying hard to be honest. I'd love to say " I worked out for an hour" or something like that..I just need to take my time..

oh and btw..the meeting this morning..someone brought in FRESH Krispy Kreme donuts!!!!!Opened them RIGHT in front of me!!!..thankfully my boss made a breakfast cass. so I ate a small piece of that instead. I also had a bowl of cereal this morning too..

Lunch is being brought today.. Chick fil A... ususally they bring grilled sandwiches so it looks like that will be lunch for me!
 
Kingsport!!! Howdy neighbor! I live in TX now (finishing up school) but I so miss the mountains and my family. The Tri-cities looks so different to me now with all the businesses springing up. We used to have to go to Kingsport to the mall because ours in JC was so pitiful.

My DH was the same way about both Batman and Star Wars- we'll be going back to see one of them this Friday.

Good job on resisting the donuts! Isn't it amazing- as soon as you start to go on a program, it seems like everybody and thier brother comes out of the woodwork with tempting foods.

I've been doing South Beach for almost 2 weeks, so let me know if you have any questions. I've found it pretty restrictive and I'm going to ease off of it a bit (not entirely), but I will say this for it...the first week in Phase 1 did a great job of ridding me of sugar and carb cravings. The biggest challenge, I think, is stocking your fridge with the right foods and having a plan when you eat out.
