MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

Hey! We will be at Epcot that day, too!

We are moving from Saratoga Springs to Beach Club that day. Our plan is to drive to Epcot (hoping to arrive there around 8am) and then walk over to Beach Club to check in during the afternoon.

Since we will be spending a lot more time at Epcot during the week, we are going to skip Soarin' this day. We will head to Mission: Space for DD9 first. We have to do Spaceship Earth and "Fig-le-mint" for DD3. We have to do Living With the Land for DH. Then head to World Showcase.

We are completely thus opposite of your family. We have always started in Canada and gone counter-clockwise. Impressions de France means nap time for the liitle bug. She gets a nice, cool nap right after lunch and then she is good for the rest of the day.

We are the family who sits down in the middle of the room for Voices of Liberty when everyone else is still not sure what to do. We love Voices of Liberty!!

We have dinner at Biergarten that night and we'll see if we decide to watch IllumiNations after dinner. Depending on how the crowds are, we may just be ready to head to the resort.

Sounds like a GREAT Epcot day :) and I love your countdown. I didn't want to cut out any more either but wanted more than a month on our countdown so we put up as many numbers as I could (we take down one of the numbers each day until only 1 day is left! which is in 3 more days btw!!!) and since we wanted to count longer we threw up a few paper clips. So when we started we took a paperclip off the chain per week until we got to the Mickey heads.

The cutting is SSOOO finicky!! Definitely worth it to keep for other trips!

Yay for Epcot! Flower & Garden will still be going on when we're there, so I'm hoping to spend some time seeing the topiaries and letting DS play on the playground. Other than that, our plans look pretty similar. :)

We always seem to start in Mexico, too, unless it's Food & Wine time. Something about that pavilion just draws us in.

Love your countdown calendar, especially reusing the Mickey Heads. Resourceful, creative and eco-friendly! The best I do is putting Disney stickers on the days of our trip on our home calendar. BORING!

Great plans for AK and EP.

I didn't clue my boys about the roaches or stinging seats the first time they saw ITTBAB, now they won't go back! :lmao:

Have you been over to the Theme Park boards to read about how the Tree of Life is currently closed (since this weekend) for structural issues? I'm sure it will get it opened back up soon. I love the "secret" walking trail there.

I haven't seen Flights of Wonder- it is definitely on the wish list, but the guys are not interested.

I saw the MK fireworks (Nightastic) from the beach. Truly magical!

Excellent EP plan- the FP time enforcement really does throw a wrench into plans, though.

Have you ever called the UK phone booths? Here are the numbers:

Phone numbers for booths in United Kingdom

407-827-9861
407-827-9862
407-827-9863

Sounds like a nice Epcot day. I'm like you and am hoping Epcot keeps Soarin' open until 10 without posting it in the times guide. That would definitely help with the outrageous wait times that TT being closed is causing.

Love your Countdown Calendar! 39 Mickey heads are a lot to cut out.

Animal Kingdom looks like a fun day! I get all excited for you when I imagine y'all arriving at the Poly. Love it!

We'll be at Epcot that Monday evening too. We have an ADR for San Angel Inn. Maybe we'll see each other! :thumbsup2

Love your day 2 plans.

I, too, love Voices of Liberty. They are my favorite!

One trip I made without my DH, I had to call him as soon as VoL began singing so that he could hear them! :)

I will be out of school this day, so you can believe I will be thinking of you guys having fun in Epcot all through the day!

I will try to update my FB status extra just for you on this day! :goodvibes

Perhaps you should consider looking at FP return times and the lines to get a FP before you hop into the queue ... just to be safe. ::yes:: Especially with TT being down, FPs may go even quicker since there won't be a flood of people to that direction.

I have downloaded the Disney Mobile Magic app, so I hope the information there will be helpful, as far as what the FP return times are! :thumbsup2

I'm not much of an Illuminations person either. I've even volunteered to take a Little or two back to the resort while the rest of the family enjoys it and I can try to beat the mass exodus out of the park. Though knowing I only have to ride the monorail to the TTC and then either hop the Poly monorail or just walk back "home" at the end of the night, it sounds so peaceful ;)
Can't wait to meet you :goodvibes (you should be safe this day--we'll be at AK in the morning and then Ohanas for dinner).

I have to agree that walking back to the Poly from the TTC at night is a beautiful, peaceful time---with all the tiki torches lit! :cloud9:

Looking forward to meeting you and your family! :)

Hi Michelle! I saw your post on another thread and I had to follow your link on over because I see you're a teacher, from Alabama, and a Bama fan - 3 things we have in common! Well, add Disney fan to that list and you've got 4!

:welcome: So glad to have a fellow teacher who happens to be a Bama fan as well! Thanks for reading along!

I don't know which side most people start on when touring the WS... but we've always started on the right, working our way around to Mexico. Reason being the left side is the only one with rides... if we'd started with those, my kids wouldn't have wanted to continue to the other countries, LOL!

 That's pretty good reasoning though!

Either way, an hour or two in I would bet it's all pretty even.

I think we *have* to start CW again this year, because I *have* to have some churros in my life during lunchtime! lol

You're probably right about it all evening out in a few hours!

Churros for lunch sounds pretty good! :thumbsup2

LOVE your countdown calendar. I've wanted to make one but haven't had time. Your day at Epcot looks fantastic!! You'll be at EPCOT the day before us. I was having the same dilemma about Soarin' FP. Don't know if we should ride then grab FP or vice-versa :confused3

Thanks! :) You should make a countdown! Fun to do, and even more fun to count off those days!

I will be watching and reading some trip reports and live reports to see how Test Track's closing is affecting Soarin'. It really makes the planning hard!

Yeay for Epcot plans! They look perfect! I will be eagerly awaiting to see how the whole FP works out for you with Soarin'.
Me, too, Jackie! Just like you, we have been FP "abusers" for the past ten years. ;) This is going to take a whole lot of getting used to!

Ooh...your Epcot day sounds fantastic! I love Turtle Talk, too! Hoping we can get D there this trip!! :thumbsup2

He would love Turtle Talk! Even all our big kids love it! :)

Y I added Voices of Liberty to our Epcot days (have never seen them) and I cannot wait to see them....thanks for the reminder:worship:

Oh, you have to see them on this trip! They do an amazing job! The best seats in the house are on the floor, right around the marble tiled circle on the floor. It's right under that dome, and they stand there to sing---The sound right there-:cloud9:

I'm not sure how the Soarin' FP situation is going to work either now that TT is closed, and we have to actually come back during our time! :scared1: And I need to ride Soarin' multiple times during my trip, so I hope it's not too bad!

I know---Coming back during my actual return window is going to be a new experience for us. ;) I'm curious to see how it's all going to work for us!

How did I miss this the last six weeks? I am so sorry that I haven't been reading it... because it's so good!
That's ok! Glad you're getting caught up! :)

Hey! We will be at Epcot that day, too!

:woohoo: Maybe we'll run into each other!

Impressions de France means nap time for the liitle bug. She gets a nice, cool nap right after lunch and then she is good for the rest of the day.

Impressions de France could mean a nap for me too........;)

We are the family who sits down in the middle of the room for Voices of Liberty when everyone else is still not sure what to do. We love Voices of Liberty!!
.

Us too! :thumbsup2 Since we'll be there on the same day, save room for us!

I love your countdown. I didn't want to cut out any more either.
The cutting is SSOOO finicky!! Definitely worth it to keep for other trips!

Thanks! I decided after cutting a few of those that there was NO WAY I was going to throw those things away!

F&G is so pretty. I'm hoping there may still be some topiaries around when we manage to get there.

Mexico is one of the prettiest pavilions, especially at night! :goodvibes

Love your countdown calendar, especially reusing the Mickey Heads. Resourceful, creative and eco-friendly!

Thanks! I'll have to make sure my DH knows I'm resourceful, creative, and eco-friendly! :)

Have you been over to the Theme Park boards to read about how the Tree of Life is currently closed (since this weekend) for structural issues?

No idea! Hope it's nothing too serious!

Phone numbers for booths in United Kingdom

407-827-9861
407-827-9862

NO WAY! I had no idea! We'll have to try that! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the heads-up!

Sounds like a nice Epcot day. I'm like you and am hoping Epcot keeps Soarin' open until 10 without posting it in the times guide. That would definitely help with the outrageous wait times that TT being closed is causing.

I guess we should quit talking about it......;) :rotfl:

We'll be at Epcot that Monday evening too. We have an ADR for San Angel Inn. Maybe we'll see each other! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: Hope we'll run into each other!

I finally got caught up today over here on your PTR and your daughters are just so pretty!

I took notes on your Epcot day as I have pretty much not planned out ours hardly at all. Somehow in all of my reading, I completely missed Character Spot at Epcot until reading it in your post, so now I'm going to have to *** that to our list. :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

Even though my kids are older, we still like to have our pictures made with the characters!

Today is 32 days ‘til Disney,

IMG_9076.jpg

And to mark that special occasion, Disney sent me some special mail ……

MICKEY MAIL!

Cute, new luggage tags!

IMG_9073.jpg

Unfortunately, my excitement is tempered---- Instead of celebrating with Mickey, my current, new best friend is…

IMG_9074.jpg

Waiting for my ticker to say 1 month! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

You're the 2nd person I've seen today who has posted about Mickey Mail... and the new luggage tag design, love it!

Mickey Mail is THE BEST!!!! :cool1: I thought the luggage tags were so cute this year!! I love that Mickey is holographic (is that the right word??) I'm sorry you are relying on Allegra, I am as well. All the trees and flowers are blooming around here and I'm all stuffed up  its no fun at all!

Also, you will appreciate this as a fellow teacher. I have an interview on Friday for a Middle School Math position! Cross your fingers for me!! :teacher:

Yay for Mickey Mail!!! :dance3: :yay: I love the new luggage tags, they are too cute! I just wish they sent us 4 instead of 2! :rotfl:

Ugh, I'm taking Allegra-D right now...I had an ear infection a couple of weeks ago, the dr. put me on antibiotics, but it didn't seem to clear up entirely, so he told me to try Allegra-D for 7 days, and I actually think it's working! I've never had allergies before, but my DH insists that I've developed them and I'm in denial, so after Disney I'll have to make an appt. with an allergy dr. Hope you feel better soon!

Zyrtec and Flonase are my best friends right now. Allegra did nothing for me, so back to Zyrtec I went. And although I am so not a nose spray person, the Flonase is saving my life right now. I know if I wasn't using it, I'd be down for the count.

Actually, there are days when I sort of wish I was sick and could stay home from work for a day...

I'm so envious of you and your family....the Poly, Beach and Yacht Clubs are all some of my favorites. I would love to stay any one of these someday. I'm kind of partial to the Yacht and Beach Club, just because Epcot is one of our favorite resorts. The thought of being able to just walk over there is so nice to me. Also envious of your many trips. The last time we went was 2008. We were hoping to get there this year but too much going on and oldest dd will be starting middle school in September. Our favorite time to go is in September/October and I just didn't think it was a good idea to take her out while she was trying to get adjusted to a new school. We're shooting for next year so my mom and maybe mil can come with us.
Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes
