MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

Great plans so far!! We did the Poly beach Wishes viewing last time. It was nice.

Seems like the older I get, the longer those 11+ hour car trips seem. :lmao:

We loved EOS and are hoping to fit that in this time too!

Your first day sounds great! We aren't doing AK until Tuesday. We always make rope drop at AK and I am a woman on a mission at opening. I must get to the safari ASAP! I don't push and shove (contrary to what my DH says), but I love getting on an early safari truck. One trip, there was still a sprinkler going across the track when we went by and we got a bit damp. :rotfl2:

I think we are leaning towards Flame Tree this trip...mainly because of the seating area down by the water. It is so peaceful!

Your first day sounds excellent!! Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, and FOTLK are on our must do's also! They are all so fun! We will be at MK this day, so we won't run into you on this day. What do they do for rope drop at AK? I've never been there for their rope drop.

Great plans for Day 1! I can't wait to see your pics and hear all about the Poly.

I've heard that the parade at AK is great... but I've never seen it! Shame on me, I know. :sad2:

I've also never seen FoW... but I can't do that one. Birds FREAK. ME. OUT. :scared1:

EE is one of my favorites. LOVE it. I'm a little (maybe more than a little) bummed we're going to skip AK on our trip.

Polynesian, Animal Kingdom, and Wishes on the beach - life doesn't get much better! :simba:

Sounds like a great first day! I love the Animal Kingdom and you know I love the Poly too. What a way to start your vacation. :thumbsup2

Wonderful first day plans! I think Animal Kingdom is a nice first park choice, because EE and FOTLK are just so great.
And ending with Wishes from the beach...:goodvibes

Ok, your first day just looks perfect!

Animal Kingdom is my "favoritest" (DS's word) park! I love everything about it!

And to end the evening with Wishes on the Poly beach? Yep! Great ending to a first day!

Thank you! :)

We've watched them from the beach each time we've stayed at Poly, and it's so relaxing! :goodvibes

I have been there for rope drop, but I actually prefer to not be there right at that moment. I don't like being in that throng of people all walking toward the same place. So getting there just after opening is best for me.

Who am I kidding? It's not like my group could make it there any earlier!

We have been there for rope drop and seems the best I can remember you're held up at the Tree of Life. Then there is a show with Mickey, Minnie-maybe Goofy, Pluto-can't really remember, BUT I do have pics to prove I made it just once! ;)

I've also never seen FoW... but I can't do that one. Birds FREAK. ME. OUT. :scared1:
.

I kind of feel the same way about birds, and I have to admit that I did shrink down several times during the show when the birds would fly overhead. :rotfl: But it's a pretty entertaining show.

:goodvibes Definitely a Life is good moment!

Thanks! I can't wait to hear all about your Easter trip! :)

We always tend to visit AK on Sundays, and I think that day typically works well for us as far as the crowds go. :thumbsup2

Today is 39 days to go, so that marks the beginning of the countdown calendar! You might wonder why I chose such an odd number like 39. Well, the truth is……………

I got tired of cutting out those Mickey heads! :headache: :rotfl:

This is actually a recycled countdown---The teacher in me always wants to be able to reuse something I spend the time to make. So I made this one a few years ago using magnetic tape and Mickey heads. We just move the appropriate day up and I put the previous day away back in a ziplock to wait for another trip! ;)

We’re getting very excited at our house! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I love your countdown calendar! I haven't even done one for this trip but I know it would pale in comparison to your's. Our's always look halfway done. :rotfl:

Great countdown calender! And I know what you mean about reusing supplies. I've recycled my countdown numbers about 3 times, already.:rotfl:

I like that your countdown is on your fridge, where everyone can see it. I never know where I should put a big countdown like that, so that's something I'm going to keep in mind for the future.:thumbsup2

ACK, you just made me shudder, all the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and a cold chill run down my spine!

ETA: I love the countdown calendar!

Cute countdown calendar (and :thumbsup2 for recycling), and what fun first-day plans! The Poly and watching Wishes from the beach ... it sure sounds like a dream trip to me! And that's only the first day, LOL.

What a cool way to reuse your calendar, love it being on the fridge (and my love of magnets ;) )
What a fun first day--we'll do AK on our first full day at WDW too :) Though I don't really ride EE. I have done it a couple of times, but the backward riding really messes my equalibrium up and I'm sick for the rest of the day. So if some of the big people want to go I can stay back with grandma (my mom) with the littles :) Yipes Littles are so cute they "trick" me into buying them things, or it's just cause I love too:rotfl:
Guess who may see you at dinner depending on what time we get in and shhh. . . guess which resort we are moving too:lovestruc
And Wishes! on the beach, ahhh. . .wdw vacation!!!

Your countdown calendar is adorable, what a great idea! :cool1: I always want to do a calendar with those Mickey heads but I can never think of a good way to use them! :rotfl:
