We booked our trip “late” by many expert standards. Lol. Then Again we are t new to Disneyland, but even I was hesitant to book 30 days out.

But we’ve been lucky to get almost all the dinning we wanted except one- blue bayou fantasmic 1st show on the 4th of July. We had settled on river belle, but I kept checking.

Today it seems they opened up more times! Or a bunch of people canceled! Just thought I’d put it out there that there were some openings! We snagged on! We also canceled our 430 riverbelle if anyone is interested..

First. They have had second show reservations available but no first shows, which is what we wanted.

I don’t like how they do the times where the first half of lunch and the first half of dinner is 1st show and then the opposite. It would be cool if they put in a way to pick your show when you made the reservations except for the later dinner times.

Just got off the phone with the Dine Line. I think what you found were a bunch of cancellations. The CM said that the first show on July 4th at BB is totally booked for Dining Packages right now, even for hotel guests. So for people wanting to switch to the first show, just keep looking for more cancellations.

Wow feeling lucky! Proves that checking religiously. Works.

Its always worth frequent checks for dining reservations. I've almost always been able to get what I wanted as cancellations come up- especially in the few days right beforehand (though I get that some people wouldn't want to wait that long).

FWIW, most people (including me) report being able to ask for the "other" performance even if your supposed to get a certain one based on reservation time.
