Someone (Mary?) has updated Mousesavers http://www.mousesavers.com to note that the CZF code is for Disney Visa holders only and reference to code AEF has been dropped as well. AEF is still showing up on the Vacation Specials link of http://www.disneyworld.com

"Discounts at most Disney resorts. Ask for code CZF* or AEA and get special discounts on various resorts for check-ins 4/27/03-7/3/03. In general, the rates seem to be $10 per night cheaper than the previously released AXA code. Some of the rates that have been reported so far:

All Stars - $74 standard
Moderates - $94 standard
Wilderness Lodge - $139 standard, $154 woods view
Animal Kingdom Lodge - $139 standard, $215 savannah view, $380 concierge
Contemporary - $164 standard garden wing
Ft. Wilderness Cabins - $169
Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club - $229 standard
Polynesian - $244 garden view, $340 concierge garden view, $425 concierge lagoon view
Grand Floridian - $284 garden view, $420 lodge concierge
Other resorts, room types and views are available at varying prices!
*Code CZF was available to anyone, but recently I'm getting reports that it can only be used by holders of the new Disney's Visa.

You must book by 4/26/03. Thanks to Small World Travel for the info on this rate."

Someone must have updated it again because that reference is gone. Will Disney not honor this rate if the Disney card was NOT used for the deposit? I hadn't gotten the card yet when I made the reservation. I plan to put the balance on the card though.

It's still there. Perhaps next time you go to Mary's site you should click on the refresh button and reload the page. Sounds like your browser is loading the cached page and you can't see the changes.

Will the CZF code still be honored if you booked it without being a visa card holder? Someone posted about this on the Budget Board so when I called about the AP's I asked and the CM at CRO said not to worry about it. That if the balance on the confirmation paper doesn't list anything about it being limited to card holders then the amount due is the amount due. Should I call and ask someone else? Can they tell us at check in that we actually owe more money on our rooms? Does anyone know if this can happen?

Hi, I just used the CZF code for the ASMo resort and I was able to get the discount. I do not have the Disney Visa Card. The rate they quoted me was $74 a night. I hope this helps.

Are you using AOL? When I go to Mary's page with AOL, it's not updated yet, but when I go through the Internet Explorer, it is. Can someone explain the reason for that? ~~

SuzyQue

I am no computer expert - but it was explained to me that Aol doesn't update your "Cache" memory as often as Internet explorer - so if you have gone to the site recently - it will pull up the "former" site rather than a real-time site. I think that is only true for maybe an hour - so it depends on when the update was - and again - I could be wrong but that situation happened to me on another website once...

Thanks KLR-wlv, I know I've tried "refreshing" and that doesn't make any difference. ~:(~

I have a reservation booked at WL with code AXA. I called to try and have them apply code CZF at WL and I was told there are no more standard or woods view rooms available with that code. I was then able to apply code AEA. I was able to save $10/night:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I booked two rooms at the CZF code. My friend was not getting a Disney Visa. I called to ask if they could put something on the ressie that this was booked not knowing the disney visa requirement, but they changed it to AEA instead.

She also said that I didn't need to use the disney visa for my deposit.

I made 2 calls to CRO regarding the postings I had read about the code becoming strictly a Disney Visa card holder's code.

What I was told is that it is noted in their system that new reservations accepting this code must be for Disney Visa card holders. You don't need to pay or leave a deposit with the card but they do ask you to verify the last 6 digits of your card.

For those that made the reservations before they changed to strictly Disney Visa card holders, those reservations are being honored and they've been noted that the code is ok to be used since it was prior to the switch in policy.

I was told the same thing during both calls to CRO.

There is a code on the Disney site. Code AEF is what I used to get
the $74 a night rate a Budget resort. It is also good for $94
a night at the moderates and $139 for the deluxes. It must be booked by April 26th and it is only good for April 27th-July 3rd.

I know the AEA code is for anyone whether they have a Disney Visa card or not because I saw it published in last Sunday's Parade section. It listed $74/night for values, $94/night for moderates and $139/night starting for deluxes.

lizzie64, did they possibly tell you how they will know at check-in if you made your reservation before they decided to limit this code to the disney visa holders? Is anyone else worried about this or is it just my paranoid nature coming through again? LoL

if you are really nervous I guess that you could always call and change it from CZF to AEA or AEF

DisneyFreaks,

All three times I called, the CM said she knew the date I booked was before the date they switched the policy. I re-iterated my concern several times to each CM and even asked if I should switch to the non disney visa code. All three times I was told it was not necessary that by looking at my reservation she could tell I was ok.

Also was told by all three that they had to honor the amount on my written confirmation.

I would be a little more concerned if I had received more than one answer, but all three times I received the exact same information.

I think that since they initially screwed up with this code, they are making sure that the new reservations for the disney visa are handled perfectly, so the CM's know what they are supposed to be doing for the people before the change and those booking after the change.

Hope that helps.

i called CRO yesterday. the CM i spoke with said that i can still use the code because i booked before it was announced to be only for disney visa holders. he said all i need is a copy of my confirmation. which i have. so i am not too worried.

Thanks everyone. I feel alot better now. This trip has had so many things go wrong that I'm very edgey about everything. We applied that code the first day Mary listed it on her site so that date should be in their system for us too. As for calling to get the code changed to the AEA code I'm just afraid they may not have any left and I don't want to borrow trouble and end up with no rooms at all. I have heard so many CRO horror stories. LoL From what you all have said I don't think it will be necessary. I wish CRO would get their act together so we wouldn't have to worry like this. Thank you all again. I really appreciate it.
