Let me tell you about some of the clothes that Amber has made for Jeanie...they are so darling! I didn't know she had so much talent. And of course our $497 Disney sewing and embroidery machine is a God send right now. I'm not even sure that Disney sells some of these cute things.

Alright people! I hear ya!
The funny thing is, I've been bugging people to update their trip reports and I won't do my own. Kinda backwards, eh?

I didn't take pictures of everything I wanted to, so we'll get the pics of some of the stuff later on.

But here's two updates in one for ya. Remember, I wrote all of this awhile back.
So there'll be an update to the update at the bottom.

Finally around the last week of June, Southwest runs a “deal.”
Crystal is able to buy 3 tickets (thank goodness Quentin is free!) for around $600.
Since the tickets are paid for, it’s time to tell Anthony.

On July 4th, Crystal asks Anthony what he wants to do for his birthday.
“Go to Chuck E Cheese?”
“Think bigger.”
“Stay at our house?”
“Where would you want to go more than anywhere else in the world?”
“MawMaw’s!!!!!!!”

Hmm.

Didn’t go exactly as we planned.

So we told him we’d leave him at MawMaw’s and take some other kid to Disney World! Heh.

He’s pretty excited, but not as much as me!!!!
I’ve already started the shopping. I read on here about the “Tinkerbell gift” idea. To help combat the “Gimmes!” in the parks, if you have a small present each morning that magically appears by your child, they’ll be less likely to want everything in sight.
We’ll see how it goes.
So I went to dollar tree to get little notebooks to make new autograph books.
I shore didn’t find a notebook that I wanted.
But I did find all this:

Heh. Unfortunately, this was around 6 pm on a Wednesday night. I get paid at midnight on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
And I miscalculated. I was overdrawn by 5 dollars. Oops. So this bunch of stuff that should have been $43.00 ended up being closer to $80.00.
Oh well. It’s still a good deal.

Guess what else I found?!?!?!

We’re going to MNSSHP again this year.
I have my costume from last year.
Tammy has two – she can either be pirate mickey again or baseball mickey.
But what to do for Jeanie?

Hmm.
Her favorite is Ariel (also not my doing, although Crystal still blames it on me!).
So we go to Party City to see what they have.
No Ariel.
But!!!
They have this!
For 5 dollars!

So we snatch it up.
Now we just have to get her to like Cinderella too.

I’ve already started the brain washing.

We watched it awhile back and she and I danced during one of the songs.

She remembered that one time before (during “Under the Sea”) I was silly and pulled out my Minnie Mouse costume to dance in.

So when the music starts in Cinderella, Jeanie goes to the closet where my costume is and opens it up.

Brilliant idea!

I ask her if she wants to dress up too?

So I run upstairs and get the costume from its secret hiding place.

And we both play dress up.

I think being Cinderella will be just fine.

At this point, you must be asking yourself where all the stuff that was promised in the first post has gone to?

2 lesbians – Check. Amber and Tammy

Kids – Check. Jeanie for the whole time, Anthony and Quentin for part of the time.

Straight people – Check. Mike and Crystal.

Road trip – Check. We’re driving!

Great trip report writers? – Hmm. I’ve mentioned Utah. But as dynamic as Utah is, she’s not plural. I’ve mentioned Twinkie and MommyPoppins, but they’ll be holding down the fort (or will they?).

Who does that leave?

NEBO! I’m gonna stalk him! I even told him so on his trip report.

But, I’m going to be super busy. How am I going to manage it? Argh!

Maybe I can stalk some other trip report writers while I’m there.

But what about the conflict?

And the alcoholics?

It won’t cost them much.
They can sleep on the floor and jump in the car.

Marita lives too far away to enjoy late night evenings. Let’s ask her to sleep on the couch! (She turned us down)
MommyPoppins isn’t going – let’s invite her, her husband, and her 1 million and a half kids to stay with us! (She turned us down too)

Update to the update -
The sister says she's not going. She got a job!
My mother says daily she's going to convince my father that she can go, but at this point, I don't see it happening.
Tammy's adopted mom might go, she's undecided.
Mommypoppins is definitely going! But not staying with us.
And now.
The saddest news of all.
Utah is not going.
About one billion times this weekend, Tammy looked at me and said "I'm so sorry Utah can't go!"

How will we get through it without her?

But to cheer ourselves up, Tammy and I made gifts to send to Twinks and Utah.
I'll post pics once they've received them.
If I remember to take pictures before I ship them.

I dont know how many times I've had to tell dh about the "meets"... every time we talk about disney, its like "new to him" !! and he always ask "now this is our family vacation right?"

So it’s May 6, 2007. I’m feeling just a TAD bit of buyers remorse. But not enough to call and cancel the timeshare deal.
Besides, I have to pack for the two weeks I’ll be gone! Ack!
And kiss the puppies and the guinea pig goodbye for a loooong time. 

Tammy and I met in December of 2005.
She has a dog that she got in September of 2002.
The dog’s name is Amber.

I’m Amber, she’s Amber.

So anyway – here’s my precious puppy! His name is Riley and I love him to pieces!

He thinks he’s a cat.

I'm not real fond of the clowns, but part of the reason I have disliked Spectro is because I was "trapped" in Frontierland one night while it was going on and I happened to be coming down with a cold at the time.

So I get a Pavlovian type response that results in a strange urge to flee the MK!

Actually, though, I watched it from the train station in January and it wasn't too bad, since I knew I could depart if I felt like it It was interesting seeing it from a higher level.

But I don't recommend watching Wishes from that spot due to the lights that shine in your eyes

Ok.
So it’s Sunday, May 6, 2007.
I’m leaving on Monday for Kansas City, going to Orlando from Kansas City on Thursday, going from Orlando to Albuquerque on the following Monday and from Albuquerque to Nashville the next Friday.

Whew!
I’m tired just typing it.
So I had to have enough business clothes for the dates of the meetings, plus enough casual clothes for travel days and Disney days.

And there’s no way I’m doing laundry at any point in this crazy trip!

So I cram two suitcases full of stuff – one for me to take (plus my laptop) to Kansas City, one for Tammy to take to Orlando. Which means she’ll have to take two suitcases.
We’re good to go (except my luggage broke in Kansas City! Yuck)!

In Kansas City, I have to leave the hotel at 4 am to make my flight. I rode some kind of shuttle service.

With THE stinkiest driver I’d ever seen.

Or smelled.

And I don’t mean he was a bad driver.

I mean he STUNK!

Ick.

And he was EVILE (combination of evil + vile)!

There are two airports in Kansas City.
A big one and a tiny one.
The tiny one is in the downtown area (why in the heck would you have an airport in a downtown area? Weirdos. Not you, Twink! I know you’re a transplant to the prairie state. Although technically the weird airport may be in Missouri).
It is NOT the one I was going to.
But we drove right by it.

Why!?!?!

Just to torture me!?!?!

I kept my mouth closed.

Especially since he passed it and kept on going. Heh.

But for awhile, I was panicking.

I was scared to death he was going to leave me at the tiny airport and I’d have to find a ride to the big airport.

By the time I arrived at the right airport, it was about 2 hours until flight time.

I typically wait at least an hour before flight time before I go to the airport, but this was my only choice with the times the shuttle ran.

So I get there.
And Southwest is closed! I’d never been there so early that they weren’t even open!

And they do that whole torture thing where they stand behind the counter chit chatting but not letting anyone through.

And the line gets

And

Longer!

Finally, it’s the “official time” and they start checking luggage.

So I do the check in thing and mosey on down to my gate.
