Maybe I'll do a trip report? Don't read! I haven't decided! NEW for 1/31! Read it!

Yay! Fresh meat!
Just kidding. Hi!
Thanks for reading.
I guess our main meep meet is MNSSHP on the 28th.
And AK on the 23rd.
Other than that, we're all kinda all over the place.
but if you see me or tammy, say hi!

What's
pooh toile
I shouldnt even think about it!! :rotfl2:

EE - I'm in!! DD watched the EE youtube video, and she loved it... (she was ten last year!!) This year she refuses to get on the plane, when I tried to tempt her that a friend would be with us to ride EE, she stated, "I'm NOT riding that!!" :upsidedow

I'm so ready!! I'm a screamer, it makes the ride much more fun!!

DD loves to do ceramics - those are pretty nifty!! Do you have to break them to get the money out???

How many more days?? :yay: HUH?? HUH??? I need my happy place!!

And here’s one of those Disney secrets (not like overpriced DVC. This is for Marita - I hate DVC! heh).

Gee, thanks, Cel!!! I am finally caught up. Cute piggy banks!!!!!!!!!

Twinkie, did your hubby freak out when you got mail from an imaginary friend?

And thanks for posting the link to Uma's Top 10, I read it way back when (a year ago), but it's fun to read again, since I have a VACATION DAY!!!!!!!!

I'd love to make it to the run to EE, but no guaratees, so nobody wait for me, LOL!

eeyore -
here are two different pics of the fabric.
And no, I'm not making a dress like that!

and the banks have a stopper so you don't have to break them.

marita - I'll ride everest with you later in the day if you don't make the 9 am run.

No update today, just another link.

Now it’s time for another link!
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1360117

It’s not really Disney related.
Or trip related.
But it shore is funny!

such a beautiful toulle material (is that the right word?)

I'm so ready to ride - get us to Disney - why cant we take the floo network anyhoo??

How come there's no updates on any of the tr I've posted to?

Why am I so bored? We have no money - we're saving it all for Disney :rotfl2: Should we order Pizza for dinner? NO, we have to save for Disney!! Its a holiday weekend should we buy some wine? NNO We have to save for Disney! Beautiful weekend, should we go to the zoo? museum? head downtown Chicago? NO We have to save for disney!! :rotfl2:

I mean come on, does it have to be such a beautiful weekend??

:dance3:

Tammy EE is really fun!
Even Mr Silly liked it. Plus the themeing is top notch.

EE IS MANDATORY! To be honest it makes me a lil sick at my stomach but I RIDE IT ANYWAY! Cuz it's fun!

I love the pooh toille! What? You're not gonna make the fancy dress??? Why not? ;)

That link is hilarious! If I had a nickel for every time I've said "Why are you naked?" we'd be staying at the Grand Floridian this trip!

/
Hey, EE works - there are no big dips according to dd (who wont get on an airplane or Splash Mt because of the big drops!)

OK....OK...I'm riding EE...BUT if I don't like it...I ain't doing it anymore. I will at least ride the Tower of Terror!

It's totally official!!! Now when Cel and I mention "DisneyWorld", our 2 year old goddaughter says Mickey, Goofy, or fireworks. She can identify Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Ariel/Mermaid, Donald and Daisy Duck, and is almost able to identify Pluto.

Plus she can identify Cinderella, Mulan and LOVES the Little Mermaid. Yeah, this is going to be an awesome trip....even with the MIL going. Gee....I hope we can get along better than her other daughter and me did last year.

Doesn't matter...Jeanie will make up for it. She's a spectacular kid. And super smart too!

Awwwww, you're going to have a blast watching the kids, Tammy!

As much as I enjoy going to WDW as an adult, I miss the magic of seeing kids react to things there. So it will be fun being there again with some people who have kids with them.

Cel, get postin', girl! You must still have pages and pages of pre-trip report written!!!

Doing the two week dance for you!

After Everest was conquered, we headed to Kali.
Only it was shut down!
No!
Tammy still hasn’t ridden this one!
We got on it in September of 06, but the ride stopped before we could go anywhere.
We got special fast passes for it, but we never made it back to AK for that trip (so on our last day, I gave them to some random family I saw. I love spreading pixie dust!).
Oh well.
Maybe in September of 07, right?

We tried to get fastpasses to the Safari, but they were all gone and the wait was 40 minutes.

So instead, we split a meal at Tusker House.

Then we tried Kali again (still down).

But on the way, we got to see DeVine again.

It’s amazing to me how she only has to be still for maybe 10 seconds for people to be shocked when she moves.

The only thing left to do that we really wanted to see was It’s Tough to be a Bug.

So we did that and left the park.

So let’s total that up, shall we?

We saw Nemo.
I rode Everest.
We saw It’s Tough to be a Bug.
And then we left.
And we still loved every second of our day!
I think we just like being at Disney World. It doesn’t matter if we’re just sitting on a bench. To us, it’s home.

Our Epcot day was pretty much the same. We rode Nemo (after a really yucky wait), we used fastpasses for Soarin’, we rode Test Track, Mission:Space, Ellen’s Energy Adventure and the new Mexico ride (Grand Fiesta?).
That was it.
Then we went back to the hotel.
Epcot used to be my favorite park, but it’s just not as much fun when you can’t eat and drink around the world.
So now I think I like all the parks equally.

Our last full day we grabbed a cab and went to tour Bonnet Creek.

Oh.

My.

Goodness!

This place is BEAUTIFUL!

We were so glad we’d bought into the whole timeshare thing.

The pools here are stupendous. They even have a lazy river.

We had the floor with the models in it to ourselves.

They even show Disney Resort TV! Yay! I don’t have to miss Stacy!
We spent forever exploring.

And then it happened.

I got that feeling.

Ya know the one?

The :pooh: feeling?

Oh Crap! (Literally!)

The public restrooms were waaaaay back at check in.

Halfway across the lake.

What was I to do?

Hmm.

Ok.

I’ll use the Model bathroom.

So I told Tammy the situation and disappeared for a bit.

Remember how I said we had the whole floor to ourselves?

As I come out of the bathroom, I see a salesman with a nice couple touring the model.

Ack!

And Tammy’s just sitting on the couch chilling, looking at the Disney book on the table.

I try to non-chalantly motion to Tammy to get up.

She doesn’t get it.

Double Ack!

Any second, they will walk towards the bathroom and

KNOW!

No!

They can’t KNOW!

Not with me standing there!

So I say “Forget it!” and rush out.

Tammy follows in a bit.

And we do the run of shame to the elevator, around the lake, through the registration area and out the door!

(Sorry. I don’t usually tell poop stories, but all the best trip report writers do it, right?)

Anyway, we waited for the Bonnet Creek bus to take us to MGM.

One downfall to the whole time share thing is the transportation system. They have one or two buses per day per park and if you miss the scheduled time, too bad, so sad.
So we knew we’d definitely need a car when September rolled around. Which is good, cuz we’re driving.

MGM was pretty uneventful. We rode some rides. Saw Indiana Jones because Tammy hadn’t seen it before.
And we tried the Brown Derby.
I was not impressed.
It wasn’t bad or anything, but since it’s a two table service restaurant, I was expecting to be wowed. And I wasn’t.
Oh well. Now I know!

(Do y'all do that thing where you're like "In exactly two weeks I will be at such and such park?" You don't? Oh. Well I do. So humour me (that was for nabbers). In two weeks I will have checked in, have gone to Wal-Mart and will be chilling at the pool! Or floating in the lazy river! Or playing mini-golf! Or sleeping cuz I drove straight through cuz I was excited! One of those. )

I can add stuff, right???? Welll....to borrow Amber's phrase...."Too bad...too sad!" I'm doing it anyway....

Let's jump back to a year ago please....

At work, September is usually my busiest month. I had four individual support plans to write. These are basically a person's life story....and requests all services for a year...So, I scramble to get them all completed and turned in to my manager before I leave...Even thought I'd take a few with me to work on.

Disney charges for Internet usage....And being the bright something or nother that I am....I packed it in a rolling bag...no extra protection. Needless to say....I broke the screen to the laptop. Well...when Amber's sister decided she was ready to use the computer and discovered I broke it....Plus, I was already frustrated with Ms. I-have-to-drink-and-it's-more-important-than-the-friends-I-bought-gifts-for, Amber's sister, couldn't use the computer and she was whiny about it. AND, the day after we arrived for our glorious trip...my first time ever at Disney World, I got a text message from my boss with information about one of my individuals (I support adults with Mental Retardation). She died the night before. And I couldn't get any sympathy hugs from Amber...who also was so excited to be in the World. I'd had all the horrible news I could take at this point. Then to find out that Amber and I both forgot to pack a charger. BUMMER.

Then Amber and Alli walk FAST to things they already know about and little ole me with the short legs and totally fascinated...has no time to just stand back and say "WOW".

Now in present time....I've been there three times already...AND the last trip, we took it so slow and at a relaxing pace...I am even more in love with the World that I cannot wait to share it again. And this time, I get to take my 2 year old goddaughter. Her two brothers and parents will come down two days after us. And Anthony is going to be 9.

We stopped by today to give him half his birthday present. Amber bought us tickets to see High School Musical on Ice. I bought him a birthday card today that had Pirates of the Carribean on it. Amber MADE an invitation card to resemble the actual ticket to the show. He is LOVING it!!!! Then before we left, I asked him if he was excited to go to WDW and he said I am so excited. Amber told him it was two weeks. Being the argumentative kid that he is, he said "mommy said three weeks. On Friday." Amber explained to him that on Friday it was but now it was 15 days. And Jeanie said trip, fireworks, and named several characters with me. Yeah, she's ready too.

All I can say is I'm glad we're not going with alcoholics, smokers, and hopefully the only whiner will be Jeanie and me.

AND I have to see 29 people in two weeks, write about four plans and finish up three plans. Gosh! I'm busy. BUT for the almost two weeks at the World...It's worth it! :thumbsup2

AN UPDATE!!

Take it slow!! I forget that WDW is not a race... dh and dd like to remind me...

they like the water fountains outside Honey I shrunk the Kids... I'm thinking, its water, it moves, lets move it move it move it... then I see them... Just standing there giggling...

I'm going to try and take it slow.

really.

I said try!!:wizard:

It's totally official!!! Now when Cel and I mention "DisneyWorld", our 2 year old goddaughter says Mickey, Goofy, or fireworks. She can identify Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Ariel/Mermaid, Donald and Daisy Duck, and is almost able to identify Pluto.
WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH We need to get one thing straight. It's Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, not Donald and Daisy Duck. Watch those implications, please.:scared1:

We interrupt this pre trip report to bring you an excerpt from Mr._The_King’s trip report!

With much grumbling, and whining we WALK to the Big Ball. We meet my father and then both my parents help our family get in with their Main Gate passes. We hear the music, we smell the smells. Ahh. We love Epcot. First things first, the potty . The Jiggler has a little problem with some Disney potties. You see, I rarely potty alone. I have mastered the two and three person potty trip. Of course, we all cram into one stall . This potty trip it is just me and PS. PC prefers to go with Dad. PS and I make our way in. I back The Jiggler in [beep, beep, beep] and drag PS in behind me. I straddle the toilet and try to close the door. She is at a stage in her development where her head is just high enough to bang into the toilet tissue dispensers. I usually wind up cramming her head between the stall door and the dispenser, pinball style, a couple of times per trip. Big green eyes stare up at me in disbelief that she has to deal with a mom that has no concept of spatial relations. After we are safely locked in, we rotate the Jigger around to get the Jiggler protector (the toilet guard tissue). Mrs. The King carefully plucks just one (wouldn’t want to be wasteful). Gently and daintily I lay the Jiggler protector down. The toilet is competitive, just like the spider and the babies. The toilet feels I should not be a wimp and I should just lay the bare Jiggler down. “Toughen up” the toilet thinks and then it sucks my Jiggler protector down with enough force to render me nude if I were standing closer. PS screams and holds her ears. “The flush is too loud” she wails. In a frenzy to find safe harbor, she winds up bouncing between the Jiggler and the stall door . Well, I will try this again. Because I like to win. I want to beat the potty at its own game. I lay the protector down, nicey nice, the middle falls in, sets off the super sensitive sensor and… sonic boom flush. PS is now a little leery of sitting on this insatiable monster that eats the Jiggler protectors so ferociously. What will it do with her teeny, tiny hiney? I am totally unaware of my daughter’s concerns. It is me verses the potty. I break out the ultimate weapon. The bare Jiggler. If I can move fast enough, I can hold that protector in place. I will anchor it down and show that potty who is boss. The potty has had a lot of practice. I move as quick as lightening. Place the protector, swing the Jiggler around, knock into PS who bounces into the toilet tissue dispenser… again. I am almost there; the bare Jiggler will be safe from all the germs of the 100 gazillion women that have done their business before me. I hear a high pitched whine I am not fast enough. My plan will not work. The potty sucks down its favorite treat, for a third time. The Jiggler is not a fast enough anchor…To add insult to my bruised ego and germs to the germs I now get to wear, like a nasty accessory all day long, I get the the “finishing touch”. The splash of ice cold potty water . “Aggh!” I let out a little scream. Big green eyes are watching this whole show. Hands covering ears. In her sweet little head, that potty just took a bite of the Jiggler and Mommy was getting sucked down next. She waits. Now, it is her turn. She bangs her head one more time against the t.p. dispenser in a futile effort to render herself unconscious and avoid being sucked down by the Jiggler protector eating, sonic booming, auto flushing potty. She is unsuccessful and she is up next. I did what all good moms do. I bribed her. With toys , treats and ponies . (Don’t tell Mr. The King about that last one)

Ahh. So good. And nicely relevant given the Pooh story.

Celery I can not imagine being any one place because as you know I do not have a schedule other then the table services we can go were ever.

I do though say we well be in the airport or should be at the resort at this time does that count. It is usually in reverse when I get home like, last Sunday were were having breakfast with Pooh etc.

Tammy it is great to take things slow and not have to run. Beside with a two year old you will have to slow down because you will run someone over with a stroller or she won't walk fast.

That was a cute insert Celery, I can relate since Hannah come in with me too and hates self flushing toleits. Mainly because they flush while she is still sitting there and are very loud for her.

Exactly two weeks from today I will be wishing Nab was already at the world!!! hehe.
but I'll be at the resort watching Jeanie take a nap.
Argh! It's going to be so hard for me to let her sleep when I want to go back and see Mickey!

Great update! Nice to be able to relax and enjoy without having to rush to the biggies. If I could go twice/year that's what I'd do too. Unfortunately DH is not a lover of the mouse so it is not to be.

Tammy...I loved your post and I'm so glad that the kids are excited. Even Jeannie...how sweet!

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY! We'll be leaving town! :yay:
