Hooray I got a nice little bonus at work and have decided to put it towards a quick break to DLP.

Browsing through Eurostar I can get the Kyriad Hotel and Direct Train for Sat 9th - Monday 11th May for £282

The weekend interested me due to the later opening hours.

However I have never been at weekends and so am not sure how much more busier it is, and if the restaurants are open later too?

And also because the park is open later if any other shows / parades are on or repeated. I can't find the schedule anywhere yet for May so believe it hasn't been released.

I realise that fantilusion and fireworks will not be happening as its to early in the season but any other advice / help would be handy to convince me it's worth going at the weekend compared to mid week.

Thanks fellow DISers, im looking forward to booking this up asap, just want to make sure im doing the right thing! :rolleyes1

I see you are from Essex too :thumbsup2

Just a thought but if you are prepared to get the indirect train you can go from Ebbsfleet (kent) and save a fortune.
For May half term when i am going the price direct from Ashford for 1 adult and 1 youth on the dates i wanted was £430 return.:scared1:
Going from Ebbsfleet it's cost £118 return for us both. Ok so i have to change at Lille but i am sure it can't be that hard, and we are on a really early train so actually get into Disney before the direct train does.

Hi Not sure but I think the Friday 8th is a holiday in France so it could be getting busy for the weekend but I think weekends tend to be busier anyway. We've been both at the weekend and midweek and have found a huge difference in queues and will infact this year be leaving on that Friday. But hey, it's not Disney if you are not queuing !!

Think the park is open till 10pm on the saturday and the studios till 7pm and on sunday the park is open till 9pm and the studios til 7pm.

HTH

We changed last time so I'll have a look into that to see if it's worth out while.

Im just concerned that im going at the weekend for the later opening times and may find that it's so busy im not really gaining anything

I know everyone is different but personally i would avoid weekends if at all possible, my last experience on a Saturday was just awful.
Between 45 mins and 2 hour queues for everything when in the days before we were just walking on most things.

I think thats the answer i've been after. Reading peoples trip reports has shown me that it seems to be far more busier at the weekend.

Maybe im not gaining anything really then with the later opening hours.

Maybe i'll go mid week then instead.

I was just hoping some peeps had gone during a weekend in May and would say it was quiet. but if its a holiday in france then it most likely wont be
