We may have to change our trip plans from early March to early May.

I have never been in the parks except after Thanksgiving and During March.

What are the pros and cons?

I think the rooms are a bit cheaper but is seems price wise everything else is the same.

In March we always plan on getting some rain. How is the weather in May. I figure maybe warmer and dryer?

I hear the transportation from the airport will be in service in May so that will be nice.

May is supposed to be one of the lesser crowded times to go, where March is Spring Break a lot of places and is traditionally more crowded. Of course, this year is the 50 year celebration and may be more crowded than usual. I would think the weather would be warmer, that would be a plus for me, I don't know about the rain though. May is during regular season, so room rates will be cheaper than in March, which is Peak season. Ticket and food prices don't change, so there won't be any difference there.

I think you can check out weather info on allearsnet.com under the planning section, there may also be more info on crowd levels, etc.

Thanks Steph, :cool1:

I will check the weather.

I figured the crowds would be less until regular school is out and then it will get very busy again.

I just hate to delay things. Leaving Ohio in the middle of winter is always such a joy. In May things here are starting to get nice so it is not so much like a vacation change.

My college daughter and new husband went right after college finals one year around May 15th. The said there was really no wait on any of the rides, so that was great! They did say it was very hot, though. Hope you have a good time!

I'm in Ohio as well, I know what you mean about leaving in the winter! It's snowing here today, first snow we've had since before Christmas, not that I'm complaining about that, but I'd LOVE to be somewhere where it's warm. The flip side to that though, especially if you fly, is the weather when you land. DH flew into Columbus one evening from Detroit (I think) and it had snowed, and they hadn't touched the runways yet...the plane slid and skidded down to the red lights before it was able to stop. What a mess! I also think the sooner I can get to Disney, the better, but if I had to choose March or May, I'd pick May.

Being from Ohio too ,Our family is going the first week in may, I am too hoping it isn't that crowded.

I went in early May a few years ago. It was very warm - actually hot on some days. No rain. The crowds weren't bad at all.
