Should I buy tickets now, or wait a bit and see how it plays out?

IMO, these are the reasons to buy now:
  • You want to make park reservations and believe they will be unavailable if you wait.
  • You think there will be a price increase.
  • You don't mind tying your money up (little chance you would need it for something else in the near future).
  • You are reasonably sure you can/will travel at that time.

I would buy them. They stopped selling tickets for 2020 and who knows if and when they will resume ticket sales.

I would buy them but get them 3rd party for cheaper. I was online before 7 am yesterday buying direct from Disney immediately to get our reservations January 1st-12th. I didn’t need to, but we weren’t sure if the reservations will fill up fast for New Years weekend or race weekend. Seems like 2021 is completely available now, but I wouldn’t wait a really long time.

Buy them now before they stop selling them. While they will not refund tickets you should always be able to get their value towards new tickets...Until they take away that benefit.

I decided to wait a bit before buying for next Spring. I check in every few days to make sure availability is still good. Reason is I still can't wrap my head around making concrete plans for a trip in 8 months. I had a hard enough time making dining reservations 180 days out. Yes I know you can change which park later on, but I'm tired of making plans and having to change them.

I have an AP - which is a horse of another color - but the fam all need passes - we decided if there are restrictions in March - we probably shouldn’t be going anyway
