Is this something that effects crowds?
We are considering adding a day to our upcoming trip but if this makes for a crazy busy day, I dont think it would be worth it.
Its on a Thursday this year if that makes a difference.
Any experience or insight you all might have would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it massively impacts crowds. In past years Disney has sold limited edition exclusive merchandise and offered 1 day photo ops. Even if they don't do anything extra people will want to be in the parks and be in, around or near anything Star Wars that they can.

Darn! Thats what I was affraid of. I love Star Wars and Im sure all the extra activities would be fun but probably too hectic for us and our small kiddos.
I wonder if it would be tolerable to just spend that day at DCA?
