Planning still my 2006 trip and now I am leaning more toward May. If my parents come along they enjoy flowers and my family does too. What feedback do people have on the International Flower and Garden Festival? Is it to crowded in May and is it too hot? Do not want a experience like we had last July with the Tropical Heat it just killed us. Late September early October I am worried about the Hurricanes. It seems every time my family goes on vacation along the coast durring Hurricane season, a Hurricane always hits!! Any feedback as usual will be much appreciated from the experts out there.

If you actually have a choice. May, mid-to late October, and September in that order.

The F&G is very special. Especially so for the Green Thumbs. Your chances of good weather are May. Not a rainy month and not as humid as it will be in June through September.

May is one of my favorite times to go. The weather is definitly warm, but not unbearably hot. I would recommend the first week of May, since after that gets hotter and more crowded. Crowds in the first week are pretty average. I love the F&G festival, too! My first 2 trips were in May, so when I went back when the festival wasn't going on, it was weird to see it without all the flowers!

I love going in May, and last year I really enjoyed the Flower and Garden Festival. Even if you aren't a gardener, there is a ton to look at and take pictures of. Crowds aren't bad either.

However, the crowds are supposed to be the lowest in late Spetember and in October, there is MNSSHP. Both which are positives.

Well, if you bring the hurricanes, then don't go in October because that's when we're going ;) . As for attendence, I think they will be about the same. From what I've read October may be a little less crowded unless you are there Columbus Day weekend. Average temperatures are mid-to upper 80s. Late May and September you may be looking at low 90s.

Now, all that being said....we went last October (8-15) and had the BEST vacation. The weather was about 85 everyday and it only rained one day. It wasn't bad at all. It did feel hot and we drank lots fo water and used our little fans. We loved going in October so much that we are planning another October trip.

I've never been in May, but we'll be going next month. I think you're fine either way, b/c I've heard both those months are great times. I went in October a few years ago, and the crowds were low. We had no problem getting on rides in reasonable amounts of time. We had one day of intermittent rain, so we just threw on ponchos on continued on. It seemed like we had the park to ourselves b/c of that, so what's a little rain? (Just rain, I don't mean hurricane :scared1: ). Other than that, the weather was great, sunny and high 60s/low 70s.
There is also a nice food and wine festival in October at Epcot.

I say- go in October if you like wine, :drinking1 go in May if you like flowers. :flower:
