May need to postpone trip. What will happen to my airline tix?

Hi,
My Dad has been battling cancer for a few months, and the doctors were very optimistic. These last few days he has been really sick. He keeps saying don't cancel the trip, but if he is this sick, I don't think we should go. I know I could just call cro and change our dates (we have a room only ressie), but what about our non-refundable airfare. We are flying with delta song and I don't see anything on their website about this. Is there any way we could change our airline dates?

I am sorry to hear about your dad, but you shouldnt cancel your trip. BUT if it comes down to it, just call the airline and explain whats happend. I had to call southwest after my mom passed and explain what happend and they refunded our money.

With most of the airlines you are out of luck. That is why they are less expensive because they are non refundable. Southwest is different.

I am sorry to hear about your Dad. Have you thought to call Song and ask them this question? I would think they would be the ones to give you the correct information.

I believe you can postpone a trip on Song. I believe you can cancel and get the credit less a $25 fee and the credit must be used within 12 months of the original booking date. I'm not positive, but I was thinking this was how it worked. Call Song and explain your situation. I think their Customer Service Reps are very nice.

Snoozan is correct.

Song will let you change with a $25.00 charge. You would be responsible for any fare changes if you know what flight you change to. If you can't commit to a flight at the time of change, Song will give you a credit. Credits need to be used within 1 year. Sorry, no refunds.
