May have witnessed the worst "muffin topping" jeans ever today!

From spending too much time at renaissance festivals, I could tell you stories about people wearing things they shouldn't. For example, not everyone should wear a tightly laced bodice.
Here... allow me to take you on a tour of why... (while these are pictures taken in public, at a family friendly event, you may not want to have to explain them to your kids(sometimes I can't explain it to myself.)

If anyone finds these in poor taste, just tell me and I'll remove them. :wave2: I know it's probably not very Disney like of me.

Tell me that you didn't see her whale tail (and I am NOT referring to the size of her backside).

Aw man! You didn't have a camera phone?????

I have been to some renaissance festivals myself....oh the sites! Whole new meaning to belly dancing.

I have always been thin - weigh about 102 right now (just my nature) - but boy - I remember those days when I just LOVED tight jeans.. LOL Well even now - thin as I am - I HATE tight clothes - they're so uncomfortable!! Maybe it comes with age, but I'll take comfort over tight any day of the week.. :)

LOL! DW is 50. She weighs about 95#. She's just redone her wardrobe and started wearing "tight" clothes again. Got my attention. ;)

EWWWW........that was a scary picture.

Even thin/petite people get the muffin top. its all in how you dress. Buy clothes that fit you. Right now I am wearing low rider pants and a long sleeved button down black shirt. I'm not really thin, but there is no muffin top, because my pants fit, and my shirt fits. the shirt goes down past teh waist line of the pants, and the pants come up higher than she hem of the shirt.

I think people buy clothes too small b/c then they can say, "I wear a size 6." Even though the clothes are too small.

I can't wait for low rise pants to go out of style. I hate them. I hate the way they look especially when they have bell bottoms on the bottom. I think it is the single most unflattering fashion EVER. And I'm not just saying it b/c they look ridiculous on me (which they do). I think they really accent women's butts and make them look big. My sil wears them and she's big there anyway and those pants just make it look bigger.

I love loose fitting clothing-not necessarily baggy, but loose stuff. I was trying to find sweats the other day and all I could find were hip huggers. I finally gave in and bought some 2 sizes too big so I could pull them up onto my waist. I have very "loose skin" from having kids and it doesn't take much to make it look like a roll, even though I'm not overweight. I look forward to waist fitting clothes again....and big hair. Loved that look.

I have to agree, it's like a car accident, you just can't stop staring at them!

"muffin top".... Ya know, my education will never be complete.

As you can see in the picture below (that's me in the bottom one), I am not a small guy (6'3" 270). But I cannot get why some people can't wear clothes that fit. Nothing is much more unattractive than large person crammed into too tight clothes (as that back breast pic shows).

I had to do a double take to make sure it really was her back!

My kids go to Anime Conventions, let me tell you we see some very strange things there too. I wonder if these girls ever look in a mirror. Of course it must be great to be so comfortable in how you look that you don't care that you look really bad!

I teach freshman in college. Its all bellies all the time. Even the skinny girls wear such tight and low jeans that stuff is haning out. There is one girl I had last semester that had a totally flat stomach but the point between her crotch and the snap on her pants can't possibly be more than three inches. She literally is about to be naked. I tell them to be careful when they use the iron, they'll burn their midriff.

My DH was trying to read this thread over my shoulder and asked me, "Is Muffin Top Jeans a brand or something?"
Can you picture the commercial for those jeans?!?

This is actually sad. Ive been overweight most of my life, and I hate to wear anything tight, or making any bulge or fat area stick out and been seen by the public.
With that said, "sometimes" you got to admire these girls selfconfidence to wear these type of clothes. Im just saying sometimes.
My 6 yr old is thin,.so hopefully she is going to stay that way)(she doesnt like to eat, we think we have the wrong child :rotfl2: ). If she were older and overweight, I would definitely steer her away from anything where the fat was just hanging out like that. I sit in my living room and watch the middle school and highschool kids walk by with jeans that are 3 sizes too much and the short t-shirts where the fat rolls are hanging out. I just dont get it.
Its not that I think there is anything wrong with being overweight, as Iam overweight as well.
I just think its wrong to dress like that when you dont have the body for it.

Forget how bad it looks, can you imagine how bad it FEELS???? Why would anyone do that to themselves???
