I have read that there is a small window in May, I'm thinking the end of May where the crowds are down because school is letting out and people are generally busy. Any truth to this thinking? I am also wondering what kind of rates you got in May for the deluxes and did you get an AP rate?

I can tell you the beginning of May is a great time to go. We have been going at that time for the last four years. It is hot though, high 80's even low 90's but I love it! We have booked using the AP rate and codes found on Mousesavers. But who knows if room only codes will be offered anymore! I know the moderates were always $89 but don't know about any deluxe. The crowds are very manageable also. If a line has too long a wait just grab a fast pass. I think Florida schools get out middle to end of May, and I think that would make the parks busier.

BTW, I live in Chesterfield Twp. Not too far from you. I heard that a Mall of America is going to be built somewhere in Romeo, do you know anything about it?

We have made many trips to WDW but our favorite time is the end of April beginning of May. We have been to WDW twice at the end of April and twice at the beginning of May and that is my favorite time to go. As long as Easter is over, this time frame has been great for us. Low crowds, great weather and later closing times at the parks.

We just booked the land/sea package for May 6 - 13. Are there any codes that can apply to this package?

I also would like to know about May. I came here to post a question and saw this one. I haven't even got my first trip(Oct 18-25th) started but I am trying to plan another trip with the Kids play free offer from the Disney Visa. I would like to stay at Pop Century May 10th-14th. Wondering about crowds or if there are any events going on at that time. I havent read too much about Disney in May. Anyone care to fill me in. Thanks

I have been 5 times in the frist 2 weeks of May. It has only been crowded at The MK and The Sudios on their ealry entry Days as well as ALWAYs packed at the MK on Saturdays. The rest of the parks and days are great with short or no waits on most attractions.
