May Check In - Food & Wine Festival, trip planning info, meet & greets

Hello everyone. We are winding down rom our disney cruise still and thought May would be the perfect time to visit DL again we will be there May 22- May 25. We will be staying at The Grand Californian all the nights.

I finally have gotten a chance to update this.

I am hoping to meet Pixiewings. Anyone wanting to meet up please look at the main page list and contact that person via PM. I will be in the parks on the 20th and will be spending a lot of time in DCA, new stuff is happening.

Union Station in Los Angeles will have a special event on May 22-25 involving The Christmas Carol, it is free but expect parking to cost a lot.

i am off to DLR. Be out in front of DCA at 6 pm. maybe meet some nice dissers today. Plan to do the sun wheel and rapids and EAT, skipped breakfast again.

If you have questions just ask as I can make research trips if need be and round trip costs under a dollar plus under ten for my food, research is free of course.

I am planning a meet and greet between the 26th and 28th, is anyone up to it.
If anything new comes up I will inform you.

We are planning to go Saturday and try to see Guy Fieri. Do they seriously expect the line to be 3+ hours long?

I burned my little nose and got nearly heat stroke waiting for Robert Irvine so YES it is going to be a long wait and if you want I could help you on the wait. I am expecting it to be out of tickets in four hours or more. Robert Irvine was three shows and gone in 3 hours.

My plan if I were you is to get to DCA at 45 minutes before opening then when they open half an hour before hand for the Condor Flats area I would book it over to the line area and be there and have my group get tickets then send a few off for a while for breaks.

If you want a line setter PM me and I ill meet you at DCA about an hour before park open to get in line.

Time to put this thread to bed. I hope everyone had fun this month, met nice people and used this thread to plan their vacation to the fullest.

I hope that I can better keep up future check ins and learn from this one so that I can be organized and help you all have fun.

I did meet and greet one or two people but really I wanted others to be able to share a toaster or cab ride and know that you are not alone in the park as we disboarders are everywhere

The line was full/closed by 10:30. We tried at 11:30 and were told we were out of luck. We did get to do the house of blues and were able to stand and watch Guy Fieri though. Love him! Just couldnt do the wait with 3 small children and a dh with a migraine. He ended up leaving the house of blues demonstration to go to the first aid station to lay down.

I would have put a giant band aid on the annoying thing and come held a spot for you if you wanted. I figured 3 hours minimum, sigh, sometimes I hate being right. I am sorry your husband was not feeling good. If you ever need anything just pm me here.
