May Check In - Food & Wine Festival, trip planning info, meet & greets

I have added notes for the wine festival to the original post. Wow I thought three would be more people going to DLR for the free food.

I spent this morning scouring the internet and park schedules for the most up to date information I could find. I an so looking forward to the Food and Wine Festival as well as new stuff coming soon.

Most people don't want to wait in long lines in the sun for the "free" food.

I was just on the phone to Disney Dining. Hooks point is shut through to June, not sure when it shuts, but I was trying to make a PS for May 18th...

Just thought you might want to add that to the closures list.

I am still reeling from that last event. The first day was fine as it was windy and threatening to rain but this last time was hot and hotter. I do not think I am going to get in line for 3+ hours for free food and seminar unless I had friends in line to tag team with.

May is almost upon us and let me know if anyone wants to do a meeting in the Esplanade or at the south side of Partners statue. End of May sounds good.

Five or even 10 years ago May was the quiet month except for holidays. Today saw Buzz at only 5 minutes posted but about 10 minutes and Toy Story was 30 minutes.

Pixie Hollow has walls around the west end but is still open. They are working on getting the pond area of Pixie Hollow ready for the summer.

Today saw the walls up on the south side of the circle opposite from the Partners statue. Golden Zephyr is not walled over but is still down. Laughing Stock show has moved indoors at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon and perform when Billy Hill and the Hillbillies is resting.

I would be willing to do a mini meet the days I'm there, just let me know the details.

Hugs for Pixiewings and I am looking at 2 meet and greets. Not many people are going in May but at least I have a good amount of info now for several check ins. I would love to meet you Pixiewings.

We'll be there briefly the morning of 5/15 for DH's b-day. We'll probably only be there for a few hours but we have to go to at least pick up his birthday fun card and maybe get in a ride or 2.

Please add me to the list for:

May 9th-10th (Grand Californian)
May 17th (no hotel)
May 20th (Grand Californian)
May 27th (no hotel)

Honestly, does Disneyland intentionally try to confuse us with their website?

Others have previously noted how information about shows, ride closures, etc. sometimes suddenly changes without explanation.
Now, Astro Orbitor is not listed as being shut down for even a single day.

There were rumors of it being permanently closed, which were replaced by rumors that it will be eventually be moved back up to its original place of operation. I assume there was some basis for these rumors, so it appears that the decision makers are so confused that they won't even say anything at all about Astro Orbitor, even when visitors to Disneyland can see for themselves that it is being refurbished.

What time and location should I put for a meet and greet, preferably DCA but please do let me know as I am taking my friend Calvin.

March 3rd meet and greet.

March 3rd is an unoffcial meet and greet at the south side of Partners Statue at about 11 am or so.

Lavendar Peach and myself so far are scheduled to be there. A tiny food set back aka nap attack means I am not even started with the ECV decorating. I saw some flowers I would love to add to the cart but not sure if it was worth it.

You cannot miss this fat lady on a blue seated Lark 3 uber scooter that does 0 to 7 mph in 2 seconds. :lmao:

Traveling solo! I will be at the Disneyland hotel from 5/5-5/10. I am going to be doing dinner at Napa Rose, Flora Springs winemaker dinner, the wine welcome reception and Sweet Sundays. So if you see a woman wandering in her mid-30's enjoying the Magic of the Disney parks say hi.

Johanna

Updating this right now and added renegade, how did I miss you.
I will be in the parks on the 6th for the DCA Spain event.
Suggested meet time is 11 at Taste Pilots or Partners.
I am the fat lady in the old blue seated Lark scooter that jangles and I do have a green Mickey on the seat and hanging off the basket.
