Well, here goes my first trip post:
First I want to thank all who were involved with the information, I was able to use most of it , but as with anything, sometimes all does not go according to plan.
Our group consists of Dad-me, 37, DS Christopher age 6 on his 4TH trip to Disney World, DB David, age 48 my best man, my buddy who lives in Tampa, and helps with the sheparding of my son, and finally DF Donna, 36 fiance, first ever trip, vacation, period.
Well, I have been planning this blitz for about 6 months now. We left Austin on friday, may 18 to Tampa. Met DB
at airport, and he takes us to amerisuites. Nice place, very roomy, got it for $50 on priceline. We stay up with DB until midnight in the sitting area, then he goes home and we crash. Next morning he comes to have continental breakfast at 9am. We then check out, and go to the hotel where he works, right on the bay, look around, then head to Lowry park zoo. I hadn't planned on going here, but lots of animals, kids running around, and all four of us got in for 12.50. My DB had some kind of discount card. Anyway, we spend about 2 hours there, then go get lunch, we opt for cuban sandwiches.
We then head out to Orlando and get in around 3. We check in at the Hyatt Orlando. I know a lot of you are saying, why not stay or property. Well, we stayed in Orlando for seven nights for $288. We got our wake up calls most mornings at 630 am, then got in around 1030 pm. That first night there we did use the pool and the jacuzzi. We spent the afternoon going to the mercado-model car shopping, visitor center for brochures, the Pointe for FAO schwarz, oh boy, the credit card got a workout there, and then to Race Rock for dinner. I will have to say the service was bad, but it was a saturday night. We had the go2orlando card to get a free app with 2 entree orders. Let me tell you the food was good, reasonably priced, and the portions were huge!
When we finally got back to the Hyatt, we got ready for the next day and went for a swim. I had housekeeping set up a cot for my DS. Needless to say during the rest of the week he would have a bounty of critters sleeping with him.
At this point my DF was starting to get wound up in prepartion for the magic kingdom the next day. Going on a Sunday was the plan, and the consensus was that I would plan our direction, wake up time, etc.
So we finally crashed about 11pm.
Next post: I want to go on that!
