May 7th, 2023 - 13-Night Eastbound Transatlantic Cruise from Miami (Ponta Delgada (Azores), Lisbon, Cádiz, Málaga, Cartagena)

We are booked on excursions that I think are ok. I wish there were some “easy” tours. I wouldn’t mind a bus ride with some narrated information. I cannot do the walking on cobblestones.

On our Panama canal DCL cruise there was a breakfast with characters, also on another Transatlantic there was a breakfast with Disney Junior characters. I saw nothing like that. I hope they add an activity like a breakfast.

Hi all!
For those of you who can book excursions and other onboard stuff already (we're up on th 22nd and it won't show me prices or options until then)... Can I ask some prices to plan ahead?

Specifically, what is the price for the pre-purchase photo package? (not special studio sittings, just the around the ship stuff) And is there just one price for all 13 nights?

Secondly, what is the price for the Rainforest pass? Are there single day prices, several days, AND whole voyage prices?

Not looking for anyone to go out of their way to look this up, but maybe you know as you already booked it.

Thanks!

Marcy

The unlimited photo package is $339.95 if you pre-purchase. Didn’t see anything for Rainforest passes.

Thanks! That helps. I suspect the spa stuff including Rainforest passes are for purchase onboard and not advertised ahead of time (and because the spa runs as a separate entity financially from DCL)

Has anyone taken this EBTA trip before?

Will there be a pirate night with fireworks?
Given that we won't go to Nassau, Castaway Cay or any other nearby ports to pick up fireworks, I'm guessing not.

One other question about exchanging USD for Euros on the ship.... can they offer a fair/good exchange rate? Or should we exchange at a home bank?

Thanks again!

Marcy

We just got home today from the Marvel Day at Sea on the Dream and we cannot wait until May!!!!!!!!!! ❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙

@Stinasmom, we have always used our Credit card when on cruises, not Euros, can’t help you with that question.

We have done two EBTA before. You lose an hour a few times, and so, you have 4 or 5 23 hour days. That does bother my husband a bit.

I do think there’s a Pirate night. I have this picture of fireworks from our 2017 EBTA. It was held before we got to the Azores.

I meant using Euros at the port stops not on the ship. After seeing some youtube videos, it looks like having some cash on hand would be a good idea for small purchases and tips.

And-- I hope there is a Pirate night! But I thought I'd heard a rumor that the ship cannot just sail for days with the fireworks onboard... ??? That could be proven wrong on this sailing....?

In 2018 and 2019 Pirate Night was day 6. A great place to look up things is Scott's site at Disney Cruise Line Blog (dotcom). You can look at the Personal Navigators from the past to get an idea of how it will go. :-)

The ship is normally a good exchange rate to have some local currency.

I’m packing my pirate outfit! Haha
Just booked this cruise and I'm so excited to be going on this cruise with all of you. I am traveling with my sister, and this will be our 2nd Transatlantic crossing. We didn't do any excursions on our first crossing, so I am looking for information on arranging easy tours. I can do some walking but would prefer narrated car, trolley or bus tours. We cannot wait to meet everyone onboard and begin this adventure.

I was looking and for Day 6 the Bippity Boppity Boutique is now showing Pirates League so that will be our Pirate Night!

If anyone finds out the schedule for the shows, formal nights, the new Celebration night, etc. please let me know. :) I am curious if the new 25th celebration will take place on formal/semi formal night. Thank you!

I've already posted a separate ? But...has anyone read about the ETIAS needed May 2023. It says you can/must apply within 96 hours. Some are saying there is a 180 day grace period. I think that Disney should advise if needed but, who am I to say any different. I just want to be safe...not sorry. Any ideas/thoughts?

I believe it is not going into effect until Nov 2023 now so we should not have to do anything.
