Anyone else excited?

Next week is:

-- Opening of TOT out here at Disney's California Adventure
-- Launch of the new DVC website
-- Other "big" announcements regarding the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, including the status of the new Space Mountain and possible west coast sailings of DCL!

I am sure that I am leaving something out and am still so excited! Wonder if there will be any other DVC news? Anyone out there want to speculate with me???

I'm anticipating next week, too! Even though I don't think I could make a west coast cruise, I'm definitely anxious to hear the official word on the situation.

It's the big week for me because I'll be in WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jumping1: :jumping3: :jumping2: :jumping4: :cheer2: :thewave:

May 5th...hmm...
Speculation:
After many years of considerable deliberation, Mickey has finally decided to ask Minnie to marry him in an oh-so-magical way. The Grand Floridian is booked, the over-sized ring has arrived, and he pulled some strings (who are we kidding, he played the "Ahem, did Walt dedicate his life to YOU?" card) and got he and Minnie prime seats for Wishes while dining at Cindy's place...

That's my thought, but I could be wrong.

for many reasons.

1. We will be in OKW for 1 week. For a bit of R and R.

2. Disneyland is announcing it's plans for it's 50th. (we've been waiting for this for some time.)

3. We can't wait to see about the sailings, if any, for DCL in CA!!! About time!

4. Did I mention we'll be at WDW!!!

Rode TOT DCA on Monday May 26, pass holder preveiw. Can't wait to ride the original TOT next week in Florida. Unfortunatly my DW and I will be flying WDW on May 5th and we may miss the annoucments about the Dland 50th and the repositioning of one of the Disney Cruise ship(Summer 2005) to my home port LA more persise Long Beach.

I live about 10 minutes from Disneyland and visit about once a week.

The rumor around here is that it will be a 7 day cruise to Mexico. I would prefer a 3 and 4 day cruise schedule. I have sailed on the Wonder twice. Great Trips.pirate:

This trip to WDW will be our first stay at OKW. Can't wait

A trip to WDW is not complete without a stop at
The Rose and Crown :drinking1

Thanks for all your replies! KKMauch: I liked your guess best! :wave2:

I am eager to see the new website. Too fun. And glad to hear good things about TOT at DCA! We will visit DCA when we return from WDW.

New Online Mission: Space game launches May 5

New Online Game of Mission: SPACE Thrill Ride Launches May 5

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Guests at home can now get a taste of the Mission: SPACE attraction at Epcot by playing the new Mission: SPACE Race Online, an interactive game that teams in-park guests with online participants in a race to guide spacecrafts from Mars to their home bases. While guests have already been online using the preview mode, the official launch of the new online game takes off May 5 at disneyspacerace.com.

This marks the first time guests at home can "connect" with in-park guests in a game at a Disney theme park. While theme park guests play the game on giant screens inside the attraction, guests at home play along on their personal computers. Teams enable their spaceships to go faster by hitting the correct keyboard buttons to apply "fixes" to damaged sections of the ship. The more fixes that are applied, the faster the team's ship heads to its home base, with the winner being the team which first guides its ship back to base.

Well, it's May 5th...other than the West Coast Cruise and the "official" opening of ToT, anyone else heard some Dis news to share????

It looks like Disneyland is getting the gold treatment for it's 50th. The castle with get a make over (not a birthday cake) with a new parade in the works. Here is some information from the Travel Agent web site:

Sleeping Beauty Castle will be transformed into a breathtaking focal-point for “The Happiest Homecoming on Earth” gowned in swaths of richly colored finery, royal banners, bejeweled with precious stones, decorated in gold and topped by five regal turret “crowns,” this world famous Disney icon will glow with Disney enchantment as never before when it debuts on May 5, 2005.
