May 4, 2014 4-Day Bahamian Cruisin the Dream Cruise Meet!

:mic:ok...i'm done with winter... in fact i was done at the first snowflake. Just came in from shoveling...still have half the driveway left. And more to come today and another Storm following for tomorrow night. Not to mention the possibility of the weekend storm. We have about 4 ft in our yard, not to mention the snow peaks of about 6 feet from shoveling. I've said it many times, and i'll say it again...THIS VACATION CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH! :thumbsup2

Feeling a little late to the game here, but finally decided to stop lurking! My family is thrilled to be taking this cruise, and I'm super excited to see that there are people signed up from the FE from all over the world! My son (almost 3), my husband and I will be traveling together - I seem to spend most of my days now researching best practices on how to maximize our time on board. We'll also be staying at Disney a few days prior so figuring out the logistics of that, too, has been very exciting!

Does anyone have experience using Disney Transportation to get from the resort to port? I am very concerned as I've read about some awful experience. I've also read about some amazing experiences too so I'm confused! We're staying at the Contemporary so we'll be traveling from there. I would love to get to port as early as possible to get on board and let my son run around (and hopefully nap...ha!) before the festivities start. Any suggestions, or what your experience has been?

TIA!! :beach:
We used the Disney Transportation from WDW (Saratoga Springs) last year...it was very smooth, however, they don't give you the pick-up time until the night before, so there's not guarantee that you'll get to the port very early in the morning, unfortunately.

Hope this helps!!

Sarah

Couldn't agree more... I can't believe we're still expecting MORE snow coming up next week. Enough already!!!

Hello and Welcome!
We also have a facebook site located
I'm not sure if you're familiar with Fish Extenders, but if you look at post number three of this thread, there's a link with information there, as well as a link to sign up if you wish. :thumbsup2

Hunclemarco ...
Just checking on the FEs ... are we at our final count?
Beginning work on my gifts - and will not have extras - and want to get it right the 1st time! :)
For the entire group - I count 108 people - over 33 staterooms - is that accurate?

61 days! SO EXCITED!

Thanks for putting this together!

Yes, you have all the correct information. Did you see the 2nd tab? That may give you some information that might be helpful for you. :)

I saw it - but hadn't noticed the head count and detailed breakdown. (Duh moment!)

Thanks again for all your work - very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Hello and welcome!....Techincally, the sign up is closed, but there are many that do have extras.

I have a question if anyone has an answer? I'm planning on bringing our bathing suits to carry on. But at some point we will need to change out of them. Does anyone know when the rooms are usually ready? I know that luggage doesn't get there till around or after dinner, I'm just wondering If the rooms are available before then?
Also, any tips on other things to "carry on" with us?
Thanks!!

I remember being able to get to our room about 1:30 or so, Our luggage was received about the same time. We might be able to get in a bit earlier. I'll ask around and respond when i find out :thumbsup2

Ok, asked many "veteran" Disney Cruisers, and the overall statement is that between 1:30-2:00pm is when you can access your stateroom. Most of the time, the luggage is sent around the same time, but once in a while it arrives a little later.:thumbsup2

All four of our cruises we've gotten into our cabins between 1:15 and 1:30. The last two it was announced right at 1:30 that cabins were available, our first cruise we just walked to our deck and the cabin steward said the cabins were open and it was 1:20.

Thanks so much for the replies....very helpful!!!!
Another 8 inches of snow....I'm over this weather. Beaches, warm weather, and Disney fun cannot come soon enough!!
:cheer2:

Greetings,

This will be our 4th cruise, and a looking forward to it a lot!! We'd love to get involved with the FE exchange, but I'm finding it a little confusing as to whether I can still sign up...and if I can, how do I get my info on the database. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi I am so excited!! My husband and I are taking out three year Daughter on our first Disney Cruise!
I am a little nervousness how she is going to handle late nights and naps, any advice? We got a verandah so at least when she goes to bed we can hang outside.
We are on deck 7:beach::
