It's been a couple of days since last posting, but I'm still feeling so much 'post- cruise' fatigue. (This was the busiest we'd been on the Magic, and we cruise the Magic cause we like to relax!:hyper: )

Monday..second day at sea. Slept through the night w/out moving. It felt great! We were so rested! I had three Mickey waffles for breakfast at Topsiders. Oh, to be reunited w/an old friend. And the fruit! I would eat so much more fruit at home if it were as ripe and sweet as it is on the cruise. I had more grapes and canteloupe two days on the Magic than I have a whole summer at home! We had a great time just sitting out by the Goofy pool watching DD and listening to the band's soothing Caribbean music. The water conditions were great. No choppiness. I remembered reading in the Passporter that Panini sandwiches are available at the Outlook bar on deck 10. Am I glad I read about it, or I never would've known! OMG! These sandwiches are to die for! (Okay, my DH did not like them, but he prefers plain white bread.) These sandwiches consisted of a 7-grain(?) bread w/ham and swiss cheese, and looks as if they were pressed in a sandwich maker or George Foreman grill. They're served w/a side of potato chips. They're only available at sea days from 11:30 - 2:00. You might want to try them. (I had one on Thursday too.) At 2:00 DH and I went to the Spa for the 'his and hers' massage. This was part of the Romance Escape at Sea package. Each of you is sent to a separate room to put on the white terry robe until a massage therapist comes for you. You're then taken to the massage room, the therapist gives each of you an oversized towel to cover with as you lie on the massage bed (it's like a gurney.) We both wore our underwear. DH opted for the full-body massage, and I, the spa taster. (Turns out for us, they let us choose whichever we wanted:) ) This went way too fast. The 50 minutes felt as if it was five! (Maybe it's because we were so relaxed, we fell asleep!) My DH was skeptical at first, didn't think he was going to enjoy it very much, now he wants to book another on our next cruise! We were very fortunate that these therapists did not try to sell us anything. (I'd heard a horror story from the Mom in front of me that she couldn't enjoy her pedicure the day before because the manicurist was trying to sell her products the whole time:( ) The spa taster was good, but if I do this again, I think I'll opt for the full-body massage. With the spa taster, they do a facial (which feels great) but I would've liked more massage. Maybe I'll just have to do both next time! The rest of the afternoon was sort of a blur (I think we were still in a trance!) It was our night for Palo. We had a 6:00 reservation, and our server was Eleanora from Sweden. I don't know how DH and I managed it, but we lucked out again w/an excellent server. I've read so many sad reviews about indifferent waitstaff, and I know our turn is coming one day, but it wasn't on this night. DH had filet mignon (one of the many courses) and I had the penne pasta w/shrimp. For an appetizer, I had the scrumptious pizza that I'd already had at the Palo brunch. (I was so excited it was available.) Eleanora was incredible. She noticed when I did that I'd dripped butter on my dress, and appeared 10 seconds later w/a glass of club soda. (She's known that trick for years!) I can't enjoy much more of my meal. I'm stuffed to the gills. Eleonora brought another dish 'just try this' of chicken w/pasta (w/a cream sauce.) It was heavenly. DH and I are now miserable, but I'm not leaving Palo w/out trying the famous chocolate souffle. I'm glad I did! No matter how much I was aching, I ate the best chocolate stuff I'd ever had in my whole life. The vanilla bean sauce and the chocolate sauce mixed w/it were indescribeable! DH had the tiramisu. I had a bite. I wanted to cry because I would've liked my own, but I couldn't eat anymore! Oh, she also, brought the pistachio torte. Ask me tomorrow about that! OMG!
After all of this food, what do you think DH and I did? We met our 9-yo DD in the stateroom to go dine w/her for our 8:30 Animator's Palate seating! This time we only looked at the menu. Didn't order anything (obviously) but wanted to see the show. It was worth waitihng for, though we fantasized about going back to the room and crashing. By the time AP was over, we felt better, and went to catch the 11:00 show in Rockin Bar D 'Match Your Mate.' We loved it! A couple who'd been married for 50 years won. (I think it was champagne.) So romantic. Went back to the room to catch some sleep before the early arrival for St. Maarten the next morning.

Will try to post again soon!
