It's all done online so you will get your tickets in your email. Just took a few minutes and then print them out.

Liz, check out www.insuremytrip.com and see what plan works best for you. Make sure to also include the cost of your airfare too. I almost forgot to do that and called later to add it after we booked airfare.

Yes, you should add those up too, esp if you are doing lots of expensive excursions. On many of the insurance plans, they go up in increments of $1000 coverage, so see where your totals are and what you want to spend on your coverage.

Speaking of excursions, if you are planning to climb the Tower of Pisa on a DIY tour, tickets go on sale this weekend on line (45-16 days out) -we will be in La Spezia Tues June 1st., Cost is 17 euro pp and you must be at least 8 years old to climb. Puchasing tickets when you get there is near impossible without incurring a long wait (if there are any left). We are planning to go to Cinque Terre, and if we have time, maybe go to Pisa, so I don't think we will buy tickets, or if we do, just get them for DH and DS on the slight chance we make it there. DD would rather go shopping! I keep talking about places we are going to see, and DD keeps asking about shopping!
You do have to choose your time, and if you miss it, I'm not sure if they can accomodate you for a later slot.

Okay, so I have never flown abroad before (my only flights have been to Disney). Therefore I have several questions:

1. prescriptions meds - do they have to be in the orginal bottles? We were hoping to combine some stuff so that we do not have to take as many individual bottles.

2. We are participating in FE. I have some candy treats that are individually wrapped. I had not thought about this until last night. Will these be allowed?

1. It's best to bring all Rx meds in their original labeled containers. We've never had a problem, but my Mom had her medication checked many years ago in the Rome airport - she was glad she had them in the right containers. Better to be safe, than sorry.

Welcome to our meet and your first post on the Disboards! I saw your post on cruise critic and I think you will find all the answers to questions on these boards, esp the general DCL forum. You will get lots of your general DCL questions answered there. I rarely go over to cruise critic but am looking for more info about this volcano thing!

It's our 20th anniversary (June 9th) and it looks like there are several other anniversaries cruising with us! Bringing our kiddies DS 12 and DD 7.
