Hey all you world travelers, I've got a question for you about Disneyland Paris. We are thinking about spending 3 days there after the cruise and would like a recommendation on which hotel to stay in. We are looking at the Sequoia Lodge (stay on points).

Any info is appreciated.

I stayed at Sequoia Lodge when I was at DLP in 1998. The lobby was not as elaborate as WL or even AKL but still gives you the rustic feel. I walked back and forth to park (never found the buses) until I was leaving to go back to Paris. It was not a bad walk - it went around a small lake and thru their equivalent of DTW. If you are arriving in DLP by train the train station is between DTW and their MK park (if I remember correctly). The Value Resports are further out and their are Hotels closer (Hotel New York, and their version of Beach/Yacht Club).

The train station has an express from one of the airports and a local from at least one train station in Paris.

I went to the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show and after living in UK for several months I was missing good American food so I enjoyed the dinner show but the locals sitting around me passed over the bbq ribs, chicken, baked beans and corn bread. They were amazed that I just ate it all - lol.

Hey.. Thanks Peter for the BIG help on the posting the pic!... I swear Im a total airhead ! I know if everyone goes to the club's website there are lots of pics from the races and more to be posted in the next few days!
BTW... our co-ed team was disqualified.. we hulied(capsised) and I was hit in the head with the ama(balancing float) and went to the hospital for stitches! My new nick name is "Shark Bait"

Races end in October... we have several more weekends to go. I just feel bad for my team mates, they did finish the race
One thing Im gratefull for... my DH... he came to my rescue after the accident, he took me to the hospital and took pics.. what a true photographer
Now this could be a great story to tell next May..."Who had the weirdest summer of 2006?"

Sorry to hear about your injury. Glad you're ok. I stopped by the beach on Saturday morning while I was on my bike ride. Looked around a little and asked about your team, but no one could point me in the right direction. So I'm sorry I missed you. I got there just as the novice men were finishing, so it was early Saturday morning.

You were there about the time the rescue boat was bringing me in! I could have told you to look for the white tent... but there had to be a half dozen of them.
I thought perhaps you would be in the bike race to L.A. that same weekend.
And Im still doing fine with sunglasses on There should be one more race in Santa Barbara/Ventura in July... hope to see you there.

Hi everyone, Happy Father's Day!

We had one of those magical moments at DL today. My SIL and her DD6 is in town so we'll be there every day for two weeks. As we were heading to the Matterhorn we ran into a group of characters playing charades. The kids spent 45 min. playing games with Peter Pan, Wendy, Alice, Tweedle Dee, and the Mad Hatter. My DD kept changing from character to character sitting in each of their laps. It was a riot. One of those memories of a lifetime. Last year, we had a similar situation with Snow White, it was adorable. My DD thinks that these are her personal friends. Too cute.

Got the date for the races back in Santa Barbara... 22 July. I believe it's back at East Beach. These will be the last of the sprints.Onlt half mile races.
Next...9-man. They're abit too hard on this old lady!

think about air fares. Have any of you decided anything about airfares yet? I know some of you will probably have Disney arrange airfares. Are other people using travel agents or are you booking on your own? Would it be possible to share any decent fares that people are getting? I know most airlines haven't posted their airfares for that time period yet but it's getting close.

Nice of you to check in! I just bought tickets to see "Love" at the Mirage on October 20th. Do you see all the shows out there? I think Jimmy Buffett will be at the MGM on October 21st, if so we plan to be there. I paid off both of our cruises a couple of weeks ago so I would have enough USAIR miles for 2 free tickets. The only problem now is the best flights from BCN to SAN are on Continental. Now I've got to figure out what to do with 100K USAIR miles. I don't particularly like to fly USAIR as we had a bad experience with lost luggage last year. I wonder if DCL will end up offering discounted air like they are for the September cruises? I'm also keeping my fingers crosses for Military/Florida resident rates. We're eligible for a military discount. I don't think the cruises are selling very well.

Curious if anyone has booked their own fare and how did it compare to DCL's pricing if you have/had quote from them. We were quoted $1,336 round trip but we think we might do better booking on our own.

I just let DCL do all the planning for us
All the air and hotel. I really didn't have the time to do it myself.I have too much paddling to do!
I pay it right out of our vacation savings... and wait for 12 months to go

I think it is about 12 day til we can book at the sites we have been using, 330 days out.
so far it is going to be about 800 per person from Boston and Wisconsin will share when we actually book..


Booking on your own might be better.
