Since you're in Florida, you won't need airfare to get to the port.

Anyone have a 12-14 yr old who would be interested in corresponding with my almost 13 yr. old daughter? We tried starting a thread a while ago, but I think that the trip was too far off. I also have a 9 yr old DS who would be thrilled to email a future friend.

OK, I have to share a story.... I have been busy and not checking the boards everyday, I figured I'd get caught up eventually, so, imagine my surprise when I gat a bunch of emails one morning from my mom (who reads EVERYTHING on this board and many others) with links to items on eBay which were Togas for Sale! I was REALLY preplexed!! Needless to say, she filled me in... I LOVE the idea of a toga/wine/tour party/gathering/thing...! If anyone needs help putting a toga together on board, get a spare sheet or two, and I will help you when you arrive. A cord or rope that you bring from home will certainly help.... (I used to be Toga-Master of my fraternity)

I would like to suggest a Sailaway meet and greet on the Top Deck, midship, on the side of the ship that faces the Dock, at, say 5pm? We could meet, get our lanyards, and say HOWDY!

Also, I know I mentioned it before, but lets get a solid group together of people who will be at Rockin' Bar D most of the nights so we can save space for each other...

Thanks for being such a good sport Ron and thanks Mom for filling Ron in. I think this will be a really, really fun party!!! I'm all up for a good party! I may take you up on your offer to help with the costumes. I also would like to thank Figment52, for the great idea that she PM'd to me.



I am going to be doing a segway tour in Barcelona on the day of sail away, but if I am back on the ship by 5pm- which I should be, I'll see about meeting up with everyone. If not, you'll find me running around in my toga the next day.

Segways rock!!!! We've done the Epcot tour and one around Santa Barbara. If I could justify one, I'd buy one - but my office is to far away to ride one to work.

I would like to do the trip around Chicago, but Noah isn't old enough. I have found segway tours in Barcelona- we are doing the one at 11am, there are ones in Paris and I think I found one in Florence. If anyone wants the 411, just let me know.

We had thought about it but the hubby can't get away from work that long. Some of us just aren't retired...yet! My in-laws had planned on doing the repo but opted out too. Oh well!

I am new to chatting, as I have lurked for years. The special cruise pins for the Inaugral Med cruise will be open stock on the Magic. My daughter saw the pins at the Contemporary pin meet recently. There should be no problem getting the desired pins this time as was the case on the panama canal westbound cruise in '05.

That's great news! I'm glad that they are doing it this way for the Med cruise!

I have been listening to the audio book of Frances Mayes (Under a Tuscan Sun) A Year In the World. She is the most detailed writer. It is very slow listening, but she spends 3 disc just describing the detail of Spain. She is also all about food! I got it from my library and have really enjoyed it.

Also, I have found several audio downloads for walking trips around various cities. That may be a cool way to get around.
