Hello to everyone!

WE miss you terribly and just would love to sit somewhere :drinking1 (preferrably in Promenade's) and talk about our most amazing experiences!:grouphug:
NOw, I wonder if anyone can help me out. We purchased some Stantons in St Paul that we dearly love (lady with garlic, man with wine and man with baguettes...sounds like us, huh?). I've gone on the internet searching for more info regarding them and perhaps where to purchase them. I do know the 'reader's digest' story, but am curious about more info!:scratchin If anyone has anything, I'd really appreciate it!!!
Since we've been back, I've been practicing my Italian cooking, Savoring Italy by William and Sonoma and French cooking. Any one want to share any receipes or such?! Some how tastes simialr to but not exactly like the original. Perhaps not enough of the right wine...or enuf in the cook? I keep trying!
Our best to all and when I figure out how to send some pix, I will do it!
Mari and Raleigh, Allison and Lauren

Hi,
Don't know if this is what your looking for or not? The site is in French, but it states an English version will soon be available.

Hi Everyone

So, yesterday I went out on a training ride on my bicycle. Had a good ride until about 5 miles from home. A large truck decided to make a turn out of a drive way right in front of me. I was going about 20mph at the time and had to lock up my rear brake. We didn't hit or anything, but when I got home, I noticed that I had worn the rubber right off the rear tire and was down to the cord casing. So much for that $50 tire. Racing bike tires are not designed for skidding.

Oh well - it could have been worse. I could have been a hood ornament. :lmao:

OMG Ken:scared1:

I had to read very fast to get to the point where it said that you were ok. Glad to hear you are ok.

Pocono

Thanks - it really happens alot. I'm much more careful around bicycles now when I'm driving because of my experiences when I'm riding.

So glad you are ok. Allison is training for a century ride and yesterday at mile 13 (out of 45!) she stopped on a hill. When she started off again, she lost her balance, didn't get her shoe unhitched and made a 5 point landing on the road. head, helmet in place...no problem. jaw..tweeked a tad,,shoulder..ouch. hip, there's gonna be a bruise there, knee, BAD case of pavement rash. Various bruises at points inbetween. She finished 43 miles and that was that. She's sore today, but fine. I think I'll stick to running....of course, I can slip/trip over anything, seen or unseen!!!
Thank you alll for your responses...I knew I could count on you!!!
Keep in touch.
Mari
Ken, continue to be careful. no hood ornaments or lawn sculptures.

Hi Mari (and family)-
Samatha Brown did a bit on Santons on her Passport to Europe series. Maybe there is more information there.

Sandy

How do I get on Samantha brown's site? I'd love to read more about them!
Hope all is well.

Been there - done that! I quickly jumped up and looked around to make sure no one saw me. :rotfl2:
