Thanks to all for the advise. We aren't bringing a car seat with us. We got this new approved thing that he will actually stay seated with in our tests at home with it. Hopefully it works with the seats on USAir.

Breighton is a super trooper usually for travel. He has survived many long road trips (5+ hours) with only diaper change stops.

We have a box we started about 4 months ago with new toys, books, stickers, playdoh and all sorts of fun things for him. He helps us put things "for the cruise" in the box and gets excited about it. Plus we are bringing the laptop full of DVDs and games, we also have the airline power adapter so no worry on batteries. YIPPIE!

We have been talking about airplanes a lot lately...and the "hi i am almost two so now i LOVE trains"...

His favorite (two) pair of jammies will be in the carry on as well as a few Lumpys (he is 19 we have to par down for the trip...he won't be happy with that).

We plan to bring his sippy, a juice box, organic sugar free lollipops (pomagranite is his fav!!!), and misc other low sugar snacks.

TIA recently opened play areas in the terminals and I HOPE they have one at the USAir terminal.

We planned our flights around his normal sleep times and he is great about when it is sleep time to actually go to sleep. No matter where he is.

We know just to grin and bear it. After all it isn't like we will be getting on a boat with the same people for 11 days...right???

Okay, i think i might go sew... maybe... .hmmm... i need motivation!

Yes, she will be on the cruise. I don't know if they have their seat assignments yet. They have a 6 yo, and he's also been flying since he was really little. My sister brings her portable DVD player for him. We use our laptop.

When are you coming back? They're coming back on the 7th.

Return flight... again all in the first row.

June 7th, 2007
743 at 12:10 pm from BCN
arrive 3:05 pm in PHL

741 at 5:50 pm from PHL

Lanyard Warning - the supply is very low. If you haven't signed up yet on the cruise list, you better do it soon or you will miss out. NejTheLion should be doing an update to the list sometime today.

Sounds like you're all set for Breighton.

My sister (Marie) said that they were in row 10 c,d,e both going and coming back. Look for the Dis' wristbands.

I didn't know that they had such a thing....where did you get it, what does it plug into? That's AWESOME!! We were just talking about this today, saying that the laptop will only make 1 movie and then the battery will be gone....but with this......maybe it would be worth taking?

You should be able to get it at just about any computer type store or many office supply stores. The one I have is a universal power adapter that has interchangable tips to fit different kinds of equipment. It also comes with a car and plane plug. My is a Kensington. You can find it on the Kensington.com page.

But not all airplanes have the power plugs. I saw something that said 737-800 and 777 have the plugs. Those are the planes we will be on, so I stopped looking at that point. I've never actually used the airplane adapter plug, so this will be a trial by fire for me.

Check with invididual airlines because most only offer in first/business class. We have Macs...

I am sure they MUST make something comperable for PCs... not sure though.

Good Luck! :) We opted fr this because it was this or an extra battery which can be expensive! :(

Is this considered "Dirty Power"? I know people do it all the time, but my DH doesn't like to plug either one of our laptops in the car adapter. Just Wondering...:confused3

Sorry - can't help you there.

Wednesday 5/23
Tampa to JFK Delta flight 1417 7:45 to 10:30 am
JFK to BCN Delta flight 94 5:20 to 7:45 am

We've never been to NY city before and want to see something during the layover. Has anyone taken the air-train from JFK? Can we get from the airport to at least pop up in time square for a bit? We'll already be checked in for the outbound flight, but how early will we want to be back at JFK?

Thursday 6/7
BCN to ATL Delta flight 115 1:05 pm tp 5:15 pm
ATL to TPA Delta flight 65 8:31 to 9:53 pm

WE took a cab but I think you can take a subway trrain.

Pretty sure... right to Time SQ. ;)

Think it is the Blue one.

Sounds like you already have the trip covered!

As for the airline power adapter, just be cautious. One time we lost power to our seat overhead lights and our seats. It wasn't anything serious enough to force a landing anywhere - they just rerouted power and the lights/seats lost out. Make sure you do bring at least one battery - and that it is full just in case!
