Margaret - On Nassau day on the 4-day there is usually a Princess Party in the Atrium at around 9:30 a.m. Although you have a son, he might want to have his picture taken with some of the princesses. From what I have seen it isn't "just for girls." Then there are Board Games and a Mickey Challenge in the Promenade Lounge, "Family Time" in the Oceaneer Club and Lab, usually a 1:00 movie in the Walt Disney Theatre, some sort of "skills challenge" on the Wide World of Sports Deck, another movie at 3:30, the Island Magic Live Character Show at 3:30, usually some sort of seminar (such as weight & nutrition, etc.), Character Greetings, jackpot bingo, etc. And of course the pools (much less crowded on port days!), relaxing in those comfy deck lounge chairs on Deck 4, the Spa, etc. I don't think you'll be bored if you stay aboard in Nassau. That is usually my choice as well.
